I couldn't find what I wanted to cook with because it was packed on shelves. Because there was so much unused wall space, I had an idea to make custom shelves on the walls so I could easily see my inventory.⁠ ⁠ Of course, it had to look a certain way and fit within a budget, so I found some hacks to make my pantry how I want it, which included spray-painting brackets and staining the wood.⁠ ⁠ Now, every time I open my pantry, it feels like my own little grocery store that I can shop from at anytime. Here’s a first look at my new balcony, where I’ll be spending a lot of time chillin and looking at magazines this spring. I’ve always wanted planters with horsetail reeds to provide some privacy, so @lite2.0 custom-made them in one day! But as far as the plants themselves...I’ve had them for almost a year in some other planters and here’s a funny story about them: . I could never find established plants in any nurseries, and I was even on an interest list for a delivery. Until one day, when on a bRUNch run with @concreterunners, I ran passed a landscaping crew switching out some horsetail reeds with some other plants. I stopped my run, asked if I could have some since they were just tossing them, and when he said yes, I hooked up him and the crew with some cash for lunch. I had to go back to grab them after the run, and bring a big soil bag of plants back to the restaurant, and then @arlynnsfc gave me and my new plant babies a ride home. Successful pantry spring cleaning thanks to @citrineandspace. Swipe to see my finished pantry! She worked some magic at my place. 🧚🏼‍♂️✨ . As much as I try to be organized, there are always those zones for me that end up in chaos. 🌀The pantry was one of them. I have so many pantry pins on Pinterest but it took working with a professional organizer to really help me get it to where I want it. . She led me through a 4 step process during our session and at the end I was so pleased with the result! Best part is I didn’t have to buy any special bins- just used what I had around the house. Those yellow bins belong in a classroom and I had them sitting in my garage for ages, and now they’re a big part of my Snack Central. And I must have used every mason jar I own but it makes it all look so nice! . I’ve been living with my pantry like this for the past week and it’s been such a timesaver. Each time I open the door, I know exactly where everything is and how much I have. Sometimes I just like to open the door and stare at how organized it is. .
