In the midst of an uneventful day... || Mairu & Shizuo

Shizuo sauntered down the crowded street, his shoulders slouched and his hands buried deep into his pockets. Tom hadn’t needed his hot-headed bodyguard and Celty was spending some time with Shinra which meant Shizuo was left to wander the streets of Ikebukuro with nothing of any importance to do.

”Where’s that damn Izaya when I need him?” Shizuo muttered to no one in particular, though he managed to receive a few stares from some of the people who passed by him. As he continued to walk, he didn’t pay attention to the way the crowd parted for him, leaving plenty of space on either side of him. Shizuo was used to being avoided—and that was how he liked it. As he continued on his way down the streets of Ikebukuro, a crash of thunder sounded overhead and a all at once it began to pour. Shizuo stopped midstep as the rain began to soak through his bartender suit and plaster his blonde hair to his face.

Growling, Shizuo pushed his sunglasses further up the bridge of his nose as the cold rainwater ran down his neck and beneath his collar. He wasn't sure the day could get any worse than this.
