In the long run there was no telling whether this was a good idea or not. After a couple of years and finally back from his time away, Jihyun had decided it was time to check on Rika. It had worried his partner, Hana, at what could happen. The memories of what she saw and what he himself had gone through were expressed immediately. He too knew there could be consequences, but in his heart he felt a sense of obligation to check on her. Maybe in a way it was to slowly extend a hand back to see if a friendship was still possible, but above all he just wanted to know that she was getting better.
While Jihyun knew his time with her was over and that he was done with her after what she did he at the very least needed to see that she was getting the help that she deserved. Unfortunately it takes him a bit of courage to go. The idea of facing his past leaves butterflies in his stomach and hesitance in his steps as he walks down the halls of the facility that Rika current resides in.
Eventually, he gets to his destination. It’s a big room with windows letting in the brilliant light of the morning sun. It’s not as lively as he hoped it would be, but across the way he spots the familiar blonde hair that he had once committed to memory sitting all alone. His heart leaps uncomfortably into his throat before he gets to where she’s sitting. For a moment he stands behind her before moving beside her and gesturing to an empty seat. “Mind if I sit down?”
