27 for Hime and 42 for Maria?
27. What is their biggest regret?
Despite everything working out in the end, regarding her home being saved and the wonderful friendship that blossomed between herself and Iona, Hime sometimes wishes she had the power to go back in time to herself from keeping the truth about Axia from Megumi, Yuuko, and Seiji. While it’s understandable why she was scared to tell the truth, out of fear that they would turn on her and rightfully place the blame of the Phantom Empire all on her, there are days where she thinks back to those days before the Happiness Charge team was a thing, and scolds herself relentlessly for thinking there was ever a reason for Megumi to hate her. That goes the same for Seiji and Yuuko, as that trio in question were some of the first in Pikarigaoka, who weren’t Blue and Ribbon to accept her. But still, at the end of the day, Hime regrets being a coward in the sense that she couldn’t trust the love and understanding her friends have for her.
Maybe if she didn’t keep opening Axia from the others, the messy situation that took place after the soccer game wouldn’t have been as bad as it was.
Maybe her and Iona could have been friends sooner.
Kidding of course, but outside of weekly training at the dojo since her classes make having a fairly open schedule impossible these days, Maria happens to be a fan of outdoors activities such as cycling and roller skating. It isn’t as common to see her surfing through the streets as it was when she was younger, but whenever she has the time to get outside, she’ll bring out her bicycle and skates from storage. Other than that, she is also pretty big on camping and usually makes it a point to go out into the mountains (with or without Grandpa and Iona) once every month. It’s nice to get away from the occasional hustle and bustle, so a weekend away to enjoy a good hike is both soothing and invigorating to her. She’s a fairly active person, so it isn’t surprising to see how many of her interests have to do with being out of the house one way or another… but Maria does enjoy quiet hobbies as well.
Such hobbies would include knitting, especially when Iona comes back after getting an excellent deal on yarn when the sales are prominent. A number of the scarves and hats her sister wore in her younger years were done by Maria, and she hopes to add onto the collection now that she’s back home.
Interestingly enough, she’s started a collection of handmade scarves, hats, and gloves for the Dark Cures and Phantom, because why not?
