yes there's definetly racists and bigots etc in the ovw fandom and in the PM community. i'm not denying that whatsoever. there would be people who'd not ship PM if mercy was a black guy, but so far i've also seen almost every PM shipper love the concept mercy, even when they admit their lesbian/wlw self probably wouldn't ship PM as much then. because they're lesbian/wlw, no shit.

i'm really not understanding how people don't see that half (if not more) of PM shippers are lesbians or wlw who specifically want wlw content. why are you trying so hard to push a het ship in their face and tell them they're shitty for not loving it as much as a wlw ship. again, there are and will be racists and just overall bigoted people, but stop acting like a f/f ship that's community is 90% wlw would not ship the m/f version of it (as hard) for -

- a reason that's anything but the fact that it's M/f not f/f. wlw are more interested and connected with wlw content, that's literally not a surprise whatsoever. I do think current PM shippers would still support PxconceptM, and have some other f/f ship with P be popular for them.

I agree with most of the points here.

I agree that it is is suspect and wlw (who are exclusively attracted to women) shouldn’t be made to feel bad for not wanting to be a part of a relationship with a man in it.

Most of them are gay. Of course they wouldn’t want a part of any m/f ship.

I think the way they should have framed the question is, would people still like if Mercy was black and a black woman in particular? And the answer that most of us gave was yes. And we didn’t have a problem with it.

However, it gives me a headache and it’s annoying that people are using it as another excuse to attack us, as if most of us aren’t wlwoc ourselves, and just make the assumption once again, that most of us are racist when most of us speak out against the problems in the fandom.

I also love how they tried to use it a ‘litmus’ test of sorts. And most of us rose to the challenge, and passed with flying colors. lol

However, even though I do agree that gay women and lesbians in particular shouldn’t feel bad for wanting no part in the m/f ship, the point still stands that fandom tends to marginalize men and woc, and black men in particular. And black women get it even worse than black men do, due to the twin factors of racism and misogyny.

So that was the point I and others were trying to make with those posts, and I don’t think that should be overlooked. (And correct me if I’m wrong if you were agreeing with that point there.)

But I do agree that the “litmus test” is silly, and that wlw shouldn’t be made to feel bad for not being as interested in an m/f ship. But as long as they’re not being petty about it and giving poor reasons not to like it (*coughs*racism), then it shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Though we should also be aware of how easily people tend to cross that line over into the other side, and be vigilant of it, and speak out against it as well.

I'm not all that pro breeds thing but Idk atleast they could've done them like, as british dog breeds for the legendaries? like a bulldog for the shield one and sth like a wolfhound or an elkhound for the sword one (i know they're irish shh).. just would've added more variety if they have to be dogs/canines?

I fall in the middle where I don’t mind &actually like having a variety of of similar animals.... but ONLY if they are distinct, different breeds from each other. Like how houndours are dobermen and stoutlands is a yorkshire/st bernard kinda mix and I would NEVER mistake the two for each other ect ect

When they do it like that, I love having multiple breeds

But yeah lycanroc and the new legendaries are so similar (esp once you try imagining the new mascots without the clunky fins&wings) that it actually does bother me a lil this time around

Bulldog &elk/wolfhounds would be such good choices god yeah.....

personally I think they’re overdesigned and kinda uninspired bc we got like.. 3 similar looking dog/wolf pokemon last gen?.. I wish they did something more interesting, but I also feel like I’ll grow to like them a bit more eventually lol (just my thought, I agree with the colors tho)

THIS is exactly my issue with them-- I wouldn’t even mind all three primary colors being used if the design’s silhouette was appealing lol....

There are a lot of pokemon I think that could use some slight simplifying that would make their designs way more visually appealing (some pokemon are just too busy...) but this is the worst god
