BTEC Level 2 Photography
Level 2 Extended Certificate in Creative Media Production (Photography)Task 1 and 2 Research and Communication
Task 1 : Decide how you want to personally investigate your project and explore different research techniques as you make your decision. You need to collate your thoughts and process via tumblr. Examine different research techniques (first/second hand research) and explain why they might be useful - remember, you can design your own surveys, carry out first hand image research etc.
Having joined this course in September 2013. I had hoped to learn how to make the best of my Olyumpus e300 camera having tinkered with the settings whilst out and about. Since joining the course I am now confident enough to use my camera and manually set the aperture, shutterspeed, whitebalance and iso settings. I have also learned how to use photoshop to enhance my photos.
I had no idea of what I wanted to use as my theme for this project. I have a keen interest in landscape photography but I also am an animal lover. My favourite animals are dogs but I have always had a fascination with horses and their majestic stature.I decided to primarily research both local and famous landscape photographers including Jim Zukerman, Charlie Waite, Ansel Adams, Glenn Miles and Matthew Woodhouse.I also looked at a few animal and equine photographers including Matthew Seed, Mark Harvey and K&S Digital Photography.
