Finally! A shiny catch for today!
容 — contain, tolerance. yō (tolerance = 寛容. kanyō)
Anime Expo was a blast! Even though I missed the Love Live Sunshine screening, next-to-nobody recognized my cosplay, I didn’t get a Kongou figurine, and it was really hot, I still immensely enjoyed myself. Pictured above are the items I purchased!
I was able to get a coveted Lucina Figma! It was the priciest out of everything here, at $95, but I count myself lucky to have gotten it! The Yō Watanabe Nenderoid was the first out of the things I bought, and at $45 she wasn’t too expensive! She’s pictured here with her tiny companion Kotori keychain, which I got at the end of the convention before I left!
I bought a copy of Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name.), but I didn’t realize that it was only the first half (?) of the story! I’ll have to track down Volume 2 to complete it, lol. Hopefully I can find it at a bookstore, I only had an Anime Expo pass for today.
Finally, I got to meet @prozdvoices ! He was really cool, and autographed my badge! He was at the Japan Crate station, and autographed my brothers’ badges as well!
It’s unfortunate that today is the only day I’ll be going to the expo this year, but I’ll save up so I can afford a 4-day pass next year!
Addendum: the only people who recognized my Taki cosplay were another Taki and two Mitsuha cosplayers, haha! It’s a bit disappointing that nobody really recognized me after putting effort into my cosplay, but I really enjoyed seeing everyone else’s cosplays and costumes! There are some super talented people at the expo!!
