riverclan — year twelve — newleaf

a wasting sickness afflicts the clans, and for reasons that will be explained there, rosestorm goes to thunderclan.

owlnose and yellowpaw die, yellowpaw presumably catching it from him.

rimekit, hackberrykit, and echokit also die.

birchpaw and pricklypaw are apprenticed to blizzardstep and sandclaw.

before the sickness hits, the clans also are hit by a great storm. during it, larchstorm has four kits, maplekit (mottled black tortoiseshell she-cat), gustkit (tom with white patches), galekit (spotted tom), and showerkit (black silver mackerel tabby tom with long fur). the kits are named after the storm.

(i'm aware this is how stormkit and oakkit are named in canon; that scene was very influential to my thoughts on how and why riverclan names cats.)

shadowclan — year twelve — greenleaf

tigerheart returns, although he got separated from sparrowtail and birchbark and doesn't know where they are. he bears the rest of the cure, although there are numerous deaths in shadowclan as well: tawnypelt, spirepaw, flaxpaw, onionsong, gustkit, and silverkit.

lightpaw's new mentor is slatefur.

twilightpaw is apprenticed to dawnpelt.

berryheart has three kits with shadecloud: bushkit (small, silver tom with black spots), tracekit (dark tabby and white tom), and anemonekit (she-cat with yellow eyes).

(dovewing is very happy to see her husband again. he's quite upset to know pouncekit and shadowkit died when he was gone.)

thornstar dies, bramblestar replaces him and appoints lionblaze deputy. ...good job?

traillight and watchstorm become warriors. greystripe continues to refuse to retire.

banepaw, tailpaw, and agoserispaw are apprenticed to cinderheart, rosestorm, and juniperbranch. slugkit dies.

and two litters are born! baykit and myrtlekit to sorrelstripe and dewnose, and flamekit, finchkit, and flickerkit to sparkpelt and larksong. who is still alive.

(re illness: sorrelstripe recovers but alderheart dies. alderheart pushes the care onto her, knowing she's expecting kits and needs her strength.)

shadecloud and gullswoop become warriors. conepaw is held back (due to sickness).

frondpaw dies, as do shadowkit and pouncekit. tigerheart and his group are still travelling, and dovewing is upset.

lightpaw, spirepaw, flaxpaw, and hoppaw are apprenticed to tawnypelt, yarrowleaf, berryheart, and dovewing. yes, they lowkey trade moms for mentors.

onionsong has eight kits, sired by sageface, larchkit (mottled golden-brown she-cat), gustkit (warm blue she-cat), tallkit (mottled red tom), podkit (lilac she-cat), silverkit (silver classic tabby tom), needlekit (black chinchilla tabby tom), droughtkit (nearly white she-cat), and agoseriskit (dappled, golden-blue tortoiseshell and white she-cat).

ivystar dies of sickness, and thornstar chooses brambleclaw as deputy. he's very unsure of this; they're both very old.

eaglewing and stemleaf become warriors.

flypaw, spotpaw, and flippaw are apprenticed to greystripe, fernsong, and lionblaze (yes, they basically swap fathers for mentors).

and...sorrelstripe and alderheart both catch ill, leaving alderheart too weak to do his duties. rosestorm of riverclan comes to thunderclan to help.

skyclan — year twelve — newleaf

silverdawn becomes a warrior.

bellaleaf, redcloud, maplepaw, quailkit, and redkit die of sickness.

pigeonpaw is apprenticed to blossomheart.

tailflight moves into the nursery to help look after plumwillow's kits, as she is sick.

reedclaw has kitekit and turtlekit.
