Not that they're unaware, but it is still a thrill to know how new it can all be. Even if they curl their lip in vague unease at the magic-supported dome stretching above their head, the fact that it's a sight unseen is one that gives them no small entertainment.
"No better place to lose your dignity," they say to the person besides them, words carefully enunciated. "With a dance, I mean. Or a swim? Perhaps both! No better place to attempt to dance in the waves." They laugh. "If I'm to drown, well. I've lost more in grander halls than this."
They hold out a hand. "But you won't leave me to haunt this sunken palace alone, will you?"
