Y33 Nissan Cedric / Gloria Gran Turismo TUNE! Central 20 aims to be a milder, more mature sedan.
Central 20 is known as a high-class shop that creates a special atmosphere through its unique advertising campaigns. This Y33 is finished in a way that fully reflects that intention, and it has a look that would suit even a sophisticated woman driving it.
While the engine itself remains stock, the turbocharger, which was hindering the feel, has been replaced with an HKS GT2540R. This tuning provides a comfortable and relaxed driving experience from city driving to highway cruising, while also adding a sporty touch. The GT2540R uses a ball bearing in the center shaft, allowing it to maintain powerful performance up to high RPMs without sacrificing responsiveness. The reason for adopting this turbocharger was to maintain ease of driving in line with the car's class, while also providing a feeling of smooth revving even at high speeds.
To maintain that feeling, the auxiliary components are also carefully selected. First, the intercooler. Using the stock one would reduce efficiency and worsen the feeling. Therefore, a custom-made intercooler from ARC is used in the stock location to maximize turbine performance. The fuel system is stock, but the fuel is matched using a computer, successfully improving the feeling.
By balancing these parts, the engine produces 360 horsepower, which isn't an extremely high power output, but it's more than sufficient compared to the stock figure. However, its characteristics aren't peaky, so even owners unfamiliar with tuning can handle it. This level of tuning speaks to the high level of setting ability of Mr. Tanaka of Central. Currently, the automatic transmission is still stock, but the fluid has been replaced with Trust ATF to improve the feel and handle the high power.
Regarding the suspension, instead of using extremely high-rate springs, we combined RS★R springs with original shocks of the normal shape to achieve optimal performance, allowing for stable driving from city streets to highways without sacrificing ride comfort. However, it may feel somewhat lacking on winding roads, but this can be addressed by installing adjustable shocks, which allow for increased damping force up to a certain point. Next, we plan to build a high-power engine using a TO4R turbocharger.

¹The standard suspension uses original 4-way adjustable shocks with RS★R springs (F4kg/mm, R5kg/mm). The spring rates are relatively low, and the setup aims for a comfortable ride, so the ride height is not significantly lowered. Brembo brakes are used at the front, but even in testing, they are considered overkill. For the rear, GT-R rear brakes are installed for better balance. The rear brakes are said to be bolt-on.
²An oil cooler is installed to protect the engine after the turbine replacement, but major problems won't occur unless high RPMs are maintained.
³The speedometer and tachometer have been changed to Central's original 300km/h and 10000rpm settings. This is also an important part in creating the right atmosphere.
⁴The muffler is a Trust-made, road-legal product. Because the turbocharger was replaced, a stainless steel manifold was fabricated and installed for only one bank, and the front pipe was also custom-made.
⁵The car is fitted with 18-inch OZ Futura wheels and Dunlop Performa tires. The combination prioritizes ride comfort and noise levels over grip. Everything is set up to suit the female owner.
