While I was on vacation I was thinking a lot about my characters and worked on them. I even came up with a backstory for Xaphan and Yadiel who were only some random designs at first :3

Xaphan finds humans interesting, from a distanced, almost cold point of view. They investigate and even stalk people. They like to gather informations and learn more about them. As if they thought to themself, they need a hobby that gives their life at least some meaning, so they decided to become a stalker lol

Yadiel mostly follows their brother and what they do. They don’t really trust Xaphan in that sense, it’s just that they have no one else in the world. Yadiel mimics and copies their brother in almost every way, simply because they’re empty and don’t have any passion, interest or thrive. They fake interest in humans and investigate and watch them, like Xaphan does.

Xaphan and Yadiel are not remotely close. You could get the feeling that they don’t even like each other, but that’s just the impression you get because of their indifference. Their inability to express feelings makes them appear numb and empty (which they are). They don’t talk much in general, but they don’t even talk to each other.
