The mansion smelled like parathas and butter. Yalina was feeding Zayan when a scream took over the silence of the house. The source of the growl was her husband, a thirty-year-old man, growling from their en-suite bathroom. Following the sound with a cup of coffee in her hand, she found her husband standing in front of the mirror, with a bottle of shampoo in one hand and his phone in the other.
“Why are you all so useless?” He screamed into the phone and hung up on whoever was on the other side.
“Hamza, meri jaan, what happened?” Yalina asked softly, not wanting him to basically explode.
“Yalina,” he said, his voice dropping to that terrifying octave he usually reserved for interrogating rival gang members. “They’ve discontinued it.”
Yalina blinked, clutching her coffee mug. “Discontinued what? The satellite uplink? The safe house lease?”
“The range,” he hissed, gesturing to his hair, which currently fell in a heavy, dark wave down to his shoulder blades. “I checked every pharmacy from Clifton to Saddar. I even sent Rehman's boys to raid a warehouse in the port. It’s gone. Wiped from the market.”
Yalina leaned against the doorframe, watching him. “Hamza, it’s just soap. We can just go to the mall and pick up whatever is on sale. I think they have a 2-in-1 for men that—”
Hamza turned, his eyes wide with genuine horror. “A 2-in-1? Yalina, I work in Lyari. Between the dust, the diesel fumes, and the gunpowder residue, do you have any idea what a '2-in-1' would do to my cuticle health? I’d have split ends by the time we hit the bypass.”
Yalina took a slow sip of her coffee, wondering if she had accidentally married a nineteen-year-old in a thirty-year-old’s body. “Is this why you were on the encrypted laptop at 3:00 AM? I thought you were tracking a shipment of 'antiques.'”
“I was tracking the last three cases in a distribution center in Singapore,” he muttered, grabbing his phone to send a voice note.
“Zoya will be here today. Please don’t pull any stunt today, Hamza.” Yalina shook her head and left the bathroom.
Later that afternoon, Yalina sat on the sofa with Zoya, who was currently inspecting the three different brands of organic, sulfate-free conditioners Yalina had bought in a desperate attempt to pacify her husband.
“I am telling you Zoya, he refused to leave the house. I had to give him my dry shampoo so he could go to work.” Yalina sighed, dropping her head into her hands.
“Where is he now? At work?” Zoya asked, wondering if it is the right time to say ‘I told you so’.
“Tch. Left the house, then came back in 15 minutes. Kehta hai ‘it is affecting my aura’”
“He’s a kid,” Zoya deadpanned. “He is a giant, bearded, highly-trained toddler. Next thing you know, he’ll be refusing to go on a raid because his favorite socks are in the laundry.”
“He already did that last Tuesday,” Yalina whispered. “He said the compression was off.”
Zoya and Yalina continued looking through the options of shampoos with similar formulations when Hamza entered the room wearing a woolen beanie, his hair tucked inside the cap.
“Ham..” Before she could say something, he gave her a loud kiss on the cheek.
“Did you get it?” Yalina asked, hope rising in her chest. “The Midnight Oud?”
“No,” Hamza said, pulling out a tactical knife to pry open the crate. “I did something better. I tracked down the lead chemist who formulated the range. He’s currently being 'hosted' at the farmhouse. He’s going to manufacture a lifetime supply for me. In exchange, I told him we’d find his missing cat.”
Yalina looked at the crate, which was filled with plain, hand-labeled glass bottles. She looked at Hamza, who was already smelling the contents with a look of pure, unadulterated joy.
“You kidnapped a chemist,” Yalina said flatly. “For shampoo.”
“I prefer to call it a ‘consultancy agreement,’” Hamza corrected, already heading toward the shower. “He gets security, and I get volume and shine. It’s a win-win.”
Yalina turned back to Zoya, who was staring at the doorway in stunned silence.
“Oh, and,” he turned towards her, “keep this in the safe.” He threw a bottle at her. She caught it, it was ‘last bottle’ of the shampoo till he can acquire a factory to make his own now.

How to survive after promising marriage to a Baloch gangster's son despite being a Pathan (Just as friends! Pt 2)
Pairings: Naieem Baloch x Y/n
Summary: Just your luck. The boy you thought was meek was actually the son of the biggest gangster in Lyaari.
Disclaimer: This is not based on the real life gangsters and terrorists. This is based on the characters portrayed by the actors in the dhurandhar franchise directed by aditya dharr
"Mai Pathan hu." She said.
The boy blinked and smiled "Aur mai baloch."
She pulled her hand and was about to walk away when he said "Arey kaha jaa rahi ho dost banke canteen jaane ki deal thi na?"
"Haa but mai Pathaan hu aur tum Baloch."
"Toh kya hota hai?" he said slightly bending down to meet my eyes.
"Humare kaum alag hai humara kuch nahi ho sakta."
He laughed. "Mai abhi toh bas dost jaisa jaane ke liye bol raha hu na, already nikah ke baare mei sochne lagi. "
She turned red from embarrassment. "Aisi baat nahi hai."
"Toh chalo mujhe bahut bhook lagi hai, Aur agar aap nikah ke baare mei itni tension le rahi hai toh jaan lijiye ki mai apne ghar walo se lad lunga aap jaisi haseen ladki ke liye."
"Uss samay mai bas aise hi boldi thi nikaah ki baat." She said almost rubbing the back of my head before remembering that my hands were bloody because of the handshake.
"Dost toh banoge na. A deal's a deal right."
Y/n almost said no but then she saw the spark in his eyes. She did not want to disappoint him. "Thik hai, but just friends right?"
"Right" Naieem said smiling. "Toh chale, canteen?"
"Aaj ka pura break toh aapka wash up karte karte hi chale jaayega, kabhi aur chalte hai canteen."
He pouted "Thik hai, Y/n!"
During the break the atmosphere of her classroom had gone dim. Because of some shocking realisations.
1.) The boy they had been bullying for the whole year was rehman dakait's son
2.) The boy was currently out of the class cleaning up blood after punching a teacher. No staff member did anything about the whole punching situation.
In the middle of the quiet atmosphere her best friend Ayesha entered the classroom and quickly sat beside you. "Pata hai mast gossip mili hai woh football captain ko jaanti hai usko ek teacher ne bol Diya ki agar sirf khelte rahega toh shaadi kon karega toh ek ladki ne bol Diya mai karungi. Naieem uspe fida ho gaya aur uski proposal accept karli. Aur uss ladki ko thode aggressive type of boys pasand the right. Toh uss ladke ne uss teacher ko maar diya aur usne reveal kiya ki woh Rehman Baloch ka beta hai." She said between her laughs. "Aur abb aati hai sabse crazy baat woh ladki pathan hai! Shaanti mile uske aatma ko."
"Shanti kyu mile uske aatma ko marne thodi na waali hai."
"Ek Pathan ladki agar Rehman Baloch ke ladke ko propose karti hai toh woh sirf dekhte rahenge kya maar daalenge. Aur upar se Arshad Pappu aur Babu Dakait shaant thodi na rahenge maar daalenge milkar."
She chuckled nervously.
When she saw Naieem entering the class. She gasped." Arey yeh ladka toh teri class mei hai. Bhai uss ladki ko RIP agar mai hoti toh suicide kar leti before woh log maar paaye. Waise hai kon woh lucky ladki."
Her questions were answered when Naieem gestured for the student behind you to exchange seats with him. Normally no person would give up their last seat for their someone's front seat. But well he was Rehman Baloch's son and no teacher could do anything even if he killed them. So the person had no choice really.
"Woh tu hai." She whispered more like a fact than a question.
"Yaar maths kitna boring hai right." Naieem said smiling. "Mujhe poetry zyada pasand hai waise bhi. Tumhe bhi poetry zyada pasand hai na?"
"Haa" I said trying my best to hide my stutter.
His gaze shifted to Ayesha. "Aur aap kon?"
"Mai iski best friend hu." She said squeezing my hand under the table to comfort me.
"Best friend huh?" He said jealously?
God I must be imagining things. He must have felt uncomfortable when i said that nikaah thing. Now he's making sure that everyone knows I was the one who said that thing by pretending to be interested in me. He was a mastermind. I was sure.If this news ever reached Rehman Baloch he would kill me.
"Agar yeh tumhari bestfriend hai toh mai tumhara boy bestfriend ban sakta hu?" He asked.
"Haa" I said automatically.
Ayesha almost hissed. "Oye chal washroom chalte hai mujhe washroom lagi hai." She pulled my arm to force me to follow her.
"Arey ek ko lagi hai toh dono kyu jaa rahe?" Naieem said confusedly. "Ladkiyon ka alag hi chakkar hota hai."
"Tu pagal ho gayi hai kya. Marna hai kya? Agar marna hi hai toh seedha nas kaat leti yeh apni family ko danger mei kyu daal rahi." She whisper yelled after she forced me into one of the stalls.
"Family ko kaise mai beech mei laa rahi?" I whisper yelled back.
"Arshad Pappu aur Babu Dakait unn pathano ko nahi chodte jo balocho se dil lagate hai. Baloch agar kisi Pathan ko propose bhi kar deta hai toh woh nahi bachte. Tune toh khud jaake usko propose Kiya aur woh bhi koi normal baloch nahi. Sher-e-Baloch ke bete ko" She said pacing backward and forward in the very small space. It irritated me very much.
"Arey yaar maine propose nahi kiya woh uss samay bas woh teacher bahut annoying ho raha tha aur uss ladke ko bahut put down kar raha isliye bas maine bola. Tujhe toh pata hi hai mujhe football kitna pasand hai. Aur Rehman Baloch, Arshad Pappu aur Babu Dakait ko pata bhi kaise chalega. Surely unke paas school ke baccho ke baare mei jaan ne ke alawa aur zyada useful kaam hai." She whined. "And second of all woh bol raha tha date pe jaane maine friend zone kiya aur humesha udhar hi rakhungi. Deal deal karke confuse kar diya tha usne warna toh mai dost bhi nahi rehti uski"
"Badi philanthropist hai kya jo har footballer se shaadi karke unka career sambhalegi. Lyaari mei koi koi bhi baat chupti nahi Y/n. Baat iski nahi hai ki unhe kaise pata chalega baat yeh hai ki unhe kab pata chalega. Maybe unko 1-2 mahine baad pata chalega kyuki woh election ke kaam mei busy honge." She said holding her head. "Aur beta abhi tune usse friend zone se nikalke best friend zone mei kar diya. Do second aur rukti udhar tu toh boyfriend zone mei bhi kar deti."
"Yeh kaisi musibat mei fas gayi." Y/n closed her eyes. "Kya karu? Kya karu? Kya karu?" She whispered.
"Chup reh sochne de" Ayesha glared at her. "Idea!" Her eyes lighted up. "Oye tujhe foreign jaana tha na padne aur tune decide Kiya tha na ki mummy papa ko convince nahi kar paayi toh ek choti moti job leke paise kamake jaayegi."
"Haa?"
"Toh job le lena koi!"
"Do you really think 1-2 mahine mei itne paise ho paayenge ki mai foreign jaa paungi."
"Arey buddhu, Foreign jaane ki kya zarurat. Karachi se nikalke ke kahi dusre city mei chale jaana fir udhar kisi school mei admission leke mast se program ke through chale jaana foreign."
"Abbu ammi nahi manenge yaar foreign mei studies ko lekar hi mera unse aaj subah hi jhagda hua tha."
"Bata na mat unhe. I know tera rule hai you can't lie to them but iss baar unki jaan ko bhi khatra hai toh you have to make an exception."
I sighed. I hated that she was so right.
"Thik hai."
The bell rang "Chal abb jaa class ka time ho gaya hoga apne boy bestfriend ke saath baith."
I smacked her and she just laughed like a hyena. A direct contrast to what she was feeling about the situation just seconds before.
I entered the classroom and sat in my bench. I maid sure that I was careful enough to not look at Naieem when i was on my way to sit in my bench.
"Tum dono saath mei washroom mei itni der kya karte ho?" He said tilting his head.
Akhlaaq and Hamza are inside the haveli when he confesses. Uzair, instead of killing him right there, drags him to the porch area before shooting him. Does this mean Rehman/Ulfat have a no killing/no blood in the house rule(because of the kids perhaps) considering the men wash it off immediately even though their main focus would be on Rehman and SP?
2. It'd be interesting to know about and further explore the relationship between Yalina and Rehman. I don't mean it in a romantic sense, just that she seems comfortable enough with him to call him "Rehman Bhai" and feels the most acquainted with him among all the other men. They for sure would interact regularly given the ties between him and Jamali but i'd love if y'all gave your thoughts and headcanons abt this particular thing.
While scrolling through twitter I found a post stating “Hamza is wearing the same jacket Yalina bought for him at the mall. If Yalina dies, we riot.” The comments on that post were interesting. One said she is definitely dying. One said she has to die so he can come back to India and remarry. Another said she died when she went to stay with him. Yet another person said Hamza might kill her himself.
Yalina is a 19yr old girl. She is a brat, brought up in a mansion and spoilt to a certain extent as most rich kids from influential families are. She fell for Hamza, a gang-member. But she didn’t discriminate. She never looked down on him. She actually loved him in her nibbi way. The only way she knew, because she is just 19. Yes, a smarter girl would never have looked twice at Hamza. What can he offer a princess after all? Most girls would hate his derelict home, his job, the company he moved about it. But she made do. Her love for him must have been greater than we give her credit for. Maybe she isn’t as shallow as we judge her for marrying a gang-member. But innocence, even in a 19yr old isn’t valued anymore. Naivete is now stupidity. If you can’t spot someone out to fool you, the one fooling you gets congratulated on a job well done while you are labelled foolish. That’s how it all works now.
When I first watched the movie, I too was certain she will die, I almost cheered for it as a way of highlighting Hamza’s sense of duty to his nation that he won’t let any measly girl come between him and his duty. And yes, I will still understand him if he needs to abandon her or kill her but I will still root for her innocent love. In the story I crafted in my mind she doesn’t die.
When things are about to blow out of control, he sends her to India with a couple of ‘friends’ on some pretext, to visit some mazaar to do some dua, a ritual his ammi believed in whose ancestors came from India. The ‘friends’ are of course all spies like him. They drop her here and then she is forced to stay in India under the supervision of other ‘friends’ of Hamza till her husband comes to pick her up. Hamza does all his duties successfully and returns to India. He meets her. Clean-shaven, unrecognizable 😊 She almost doesn’t recognize him for a whole minute. Then she runs to him and crashes into him, relief at meeting him after so many days turning her into a hysterical mess. He tells her his reality, of course she is shocked, traumatized, angry but she eventually forgives him. She discovers her love for him is far greater than her anger or her feeling of betrayal. And they move on. They continue living in India as man and wife, have two kids and she gets her happily ever after. That is the dream I see for not just her but him too. He did all his duties and no he did not die. After taking away so much from him, the Gods decided to reward him with the best things in the world. A loving wife, a complete family, a full life. No medals, no salutes, no cash prizes could ever compete with this peace he found in love.
Her relationship with her mother has often been fraught, but they used to bond over growing flowers in the garden, back when she was a little kid. She would plant and tend to the roses under her mother's guidance. She also learned to take care of orchids from her. It worked because it was mostly silent and peaceful.
Jameel almost dropped her on her head back when she was a baby, and he's been reluctant to hold her since. She can count the number of times they've hugged on one hand.
She used to be obsessed with Tere Naam. She knows every song by heart.
She's the type to pick new hobbies and interests and drop them quickly, mostly because she was never encouraged to pursue them. She draws very well, for example, and used to dream of becoming a fashion designer.
She loves dressing Hamza up. The leather jacket was only the first of the many outfits she's put together for him.
She drinks every once in a while, but doesn't quite like the taste of alcohol, unless it's mixed in with fruity cocktail stuff.
She went on vacation to Europe with her family once, and that's where she first pursued a forbidden summer romance with some guy. Sneaking out became easy and thrilling.
Her taste in movies will range from 'sappy romance' to 'absolutely diabolical horror/thriller.' Even Hamza is puzzled by the horrific movies she'll sometimes put on and watch with relish.
okay so for the Hamlina shot this what i’m thinking , Yalina felt the print , like i need to know what emotions my girl was feeling knowing one day she’d have to take that , preferably after a heavy makeout session .
Plus why not make it their first time (so i’m thinking it’s the night after that 26/11) and after their argument / slap so this after they makeup but he does back her up and the two kiss where she feels the print and it’s clear he’s not stopping nor is she stopping him
kinks ….ooh give me the Akshaye / Saumya special i want it feral and unhinged plus it’ll be more cause this essentially being Yalina first time so Hamza goes all out
OMFGGGG BYEEEE
screaming oml. ive never written hamlina smut so this is new for me ! but i REALLYYYY like the idea (breeding kink go brr) soooo. i'll defff be writing this, give me some time 😭💌
