"Mai Pathan hu." I said.
The boy blinked and smiled "Aur mai baloch."
I pulled my hand and was about to walk away when he said "Arey kaha jaa rahi ho dost banke canteen jaane ki deal thi na?"
"Haa but mai Pathaan hu aur tum Baloch."
"Toh kya hota hai?" he said slightly bending down to meet my eyes.
"Humare kaum alag hai humara kuch nahi ho sakta."
He laughed. "Mai abhi toh bas dost jaisa jaane ke liye bol raha hu na, already nikah ke baare mei sochne lagi. "
I blushed "Aisi baat nahi hai."
"Toh chalo mujhe bahut bhook lagi hai, Aur agar aap nikah ke baare mei itni tension le rahi hai toh jaan lijiye ki mai apne ghar walo se lad lunga aap jaisi haseen ladki ke liye."
"Uss samay mai bas aise hi boldi thi nikaah ki baat." I said almost rubbing the back of my head before remembering that my hands were bloody because of the handshake.
"Dost toh banoge na. A deal's a deal right."
Y/n almost said no but then she saw the spark in his eyes. She did not want to disappoint him. "Thik hai, but just friends right?"
"Right" Naieem said smiling. "Toh chale, canteen?"
"Aaj ka pura break toh aapka wash up karte karte hi chale jaayega, kabhi aur chalte hai canteen."
He pouted "Thik hai, Y/n!"
After break the atmosphere of your classroom had gone dim. Because of some shocking realisations.
1.) The boy they had been bullying for the whole year was rehman dakait's son
2.) For some reason the boy sat behind the girl that said that she will marry him.
While in y/n's mind she had daunting realisations.
1.) News travels fast in Lyari. So this news was bound to reach Rehman Baloch, Arshad Pappu and Babu Dakait.
2.) Rehman dakait hated Pathans and Arshad Pappu and Babu Dakait hated Pathans who married Balochs.
3.) There was a 80 percent possibility they would band together to kill her. Cuz she kinda teased Rehman Baloch's sone depite being a Pathaan.
Y/n tried her best to focus on whatever the teachers were saying. But she could practically feel the boy burning a smile in the back of her head. And well she also couldn't stop thinking about how they would torture her before killing her.
She left school early faking that she had her periods.
She sighed when she reached her house door. Today was so crazy. It really gave her a new perspective about life. Her life could end anytime soon so she should enjoy it. If she wanted to live a long life she should have thought about the possibility of the class loser being Rehman Dakait's son. Well what's done is done. She should enjoy the last days of her life fully.
She flinched when she heard someone laughing behind her. Had death come for her. Ahh no it was just her 9wi ka neighbour talking to his 7wi ki girlfriend
As soon as she entered through her door she hugged her mom"Sorry ammi galti ho gayi abb nahi ladungi kabhi."
Her mom stopped chopping the vegetables "Abhi tak toh school khatam nahi hota itni jaldi aa gayi?"
"Umm... woh actually na-"
"Papa ke paise waste karti hai" her mom said hitting her back. Well she should enjoy it while it lasts since her life was about to end soon anyway.
Arshad Pappu and Babu Dakait didn't spare the families of their victims either. Unless......... the victims had abandoned their families before being killed by them.
She hugged her mom.
"Aaj itni senti kyu ho rahi tera toh roz ka hai foreign padhne jaana hai. Arjun Rampal se shaadi karni hai."
"Result aane waale hai na isliye" she dryly laughed before she was hit again.
She entered her sister's room and shook her awake. "Reema tujhe humne dustbin se nahi naale se uthaya tha teri galti nahi hai ki tu 8wi fail hai aur tera koi boyfriend nahi hai." She was hit again. She was getting hit a lot for just speaking facts.
At night when her dad came home she turned the ac and fan on at the same time and cherished the last beating she would ever get from her father.
When she tried to hug them all together one last time.
"Chakki hai kya." said her sister
"Beta abhi kaam hai" said her father while scrolling whatsapp.
"18 saal ki ghodi ho chuki hai." said her mother.
Her eyes teared up as she watched the saas bahu drama with her family for the last time.
She would now have to start a new life.
..............200m away from home at Aalam Juice Shop which was looking for workers.
Please like, reblog and comment to be tagged. Don't be a ghost reader!!! I am gonna write this chapter in another way soon to see which one is better as the continuation of the first chapter.

During the break the atmosphere of her classroom had gone dim. Because of some shocking realisations.
1.) The boy they had been bullying for the whole year was rehman dakait's son
2.) The boy was currently out of the class cleaning up blood after punching a teacher. No staff member did anything about the whole punching situation.
In the middle of the quiet atmosphere her best friend Ayesha entered the classroom and quickly sat beside you. "Pata hai mast gossip mili hai woh football captain ko jaanti hai usko ek teacher ne bol Diya ki agar sirf khelte rahega toh shaadi kon karega toh ek ladki ne bol Diya mai karungi. Naieem uspe fida ho gaya aur uski proposal accept karli. Aur uss ladki ko thode aggressive type of boys pasand the right. Toh uss ladke ne uss teacher ko maar diya aur usne reveal kiya ki woh Rehman Baloch ka beta hai." She said between her laughs. "Aur abb aati hai sabse crazy baat woh ladki pathan hai! Shaanti mile uske aatma ko."
"Shanti kyu mile uske aatma ko marne thodi na waali hai."
"Ek Pathan ladki agar Rehman Baloch ke ladke ko propose karti hai toh woh sirf dekhte rahenge kya maar daalenge. Aur upar se Arshad Pappu aur Babu Dakait shaant thodi na rahenge maar daalenge milkar."
She chuckled nervously.
When she saw Naieem entering the class. She gasped." Arey yeh ladka toh teri class mei hai. Bhai uss ladki ko RIP agar mai hoti toh suicide kar leti before woh log maar paaye. Waise hai kon woh lucky ladki."
Her questions were answered when Naieem gestured for the student behind you to exchange seats with him. Normally no person would give up their last seat for their someone's front seat. But well he was Rehman Baloch's son and no teacher could do anything even if he killed them. So the person had no choice really.
"Woh tu hai." She whispered more like a fact than a question.
"Yaar maths kitna boring hai right." Naieem said smiling. "Mujhe poetry zyada pasand hai waise bhi. Tumhe bhi poetry zyada pasand hai na?"
"Haa" I said trying my best to hide my stutter.
His gaze shifted to Ayesha. "Aur aap kon?"
"Mai iski best friend hu." She said squeezing my hand under the table to comfort me.
"Best friend huh?" He said jealously?
God I must be imagining things. He must have felt uncomfortable when i said that nikaah thing. Now he's making sure that everyone knows I was the one who said that thing by pretending to be interested in me. He was a mastermind. I was sure.If this news ever reached Rehman Baloch he would kill me.
"Agar yeh tumhari bestfriend hai toh mai tumhara boy bestfriend ban sakta hu?" He asked.
"Haa" I said automatically.
Ayesha almost hissed. "Oye chal washroom chalte hai mujhe washroom lagi hai." She pulled my arm to force me to follow her.
"Arey ek ko lagi hai toh dono kyu jaa rahe?" Naieem said confusedly. "Ladkiyon ka alag hi chakkar hota hai."
"Tu pagal ho gayi hai kya. Marna hai kya? Agar marna hi hai toh seedha nas kaat leti yeh apni family ko danger mei kyu daal rahi." She whisper yelled after she forced me into one of the stalls.
"Family ko kaise mai beech mei laa rahi?" I whisper yelled back.
"Arshad Pappu aur Babu Dakait unn pathano ko nahi chodte jo balocho se dil lagate hai. Baloch agar kisi Pathan ko propose bhi kar deta hai toh woh nahi bachte. Tune toh khud jaake usko propose Kiya aur woh bhi koi normal baloch nahi. Sher-e-Baloch ke bete ko" She said pacing backward and forward in the very small space. It irritated me very much.
"Arey yaar maine propose nahi kiya woh uss samay bas woh teacher bahut annoying ho raha tha aur uss ladke ko bahut put down kar raha isliye bas maine bola. Tujhe toh pata hi hai mujhe football kitna pasand hai. Aur Rehman Baloch, Arshad Pappu aur Babu Dakait ko pata bhi kaise chalega. Surely unke paas school ke baccho ke baare mei jaan ne ke alawa aur zyada useful kaam hai." She whined. "And second of all woh bol raha tha date pe jaane maine friend zone kiya aur humesha udhar hi rakhungi. Deal deal karke confuse kar diya tha usne warna toh mai dost bhi nahi rehti uski"
"Badi philanthropist hai kya jo har footballer se shaadi karke unka career sambhalegi. Lyaari mei koi koi bhi baat chupti nahi Y/n. Baat iski nahi hai ki unhe kaise pata chalega baat yeh hai ki unhe kab pata chalega. Maybe unko 1-2 mahine baad pata chalega kyuki woh election ke kaam mei busy honge." She said holding her head. "Aur beta abhi tune usse friend zone se nikalke best friend zone mei kar diya. Do second aur rukti udhar tu toh boyfriend zone mei bhi kar deti."
"Yeh kaisi musibat mei fas gayi." Y/n closed her eyes. "Kya karu? Kya karu? Kya karu?" She whispered.
"Chup reh sochne de" Ayesha glared at her. "Idea!" Her eyes lighted up. "Oye tujhe foreign jaana tha na padne aur tune decide Kiya tha na ki mummy papa ko convince nahi kar paayi toh ek choti moti job leke paise kamake jaayegi."
"Haa?"
"Toh job le lena koi!"
"Do you really think 1-2 mahine mei itne paise ho paayenge ki mai foreign jaa paungi."
"Arey buddhu, Foreign jaane ki kya zarurat. Karachi se nikalke ke kahi dusre city mei chale jaana fir udhar kisi school mei admission leke mast se program ke through chale jaana foreign."
"Abbu ammi nahi manenge yaar foreign mei studies ko lekar hi mera unse aaj subah hi jhagda hua tha."
"Bata na mat unhe. I know tera rule hai you can't lie to them but iss baar unki jaan ko bhi khatra hai toh you have to make an exception."
I sighed. I hated that she was so right.
"Thik hai."
The bell rang "Chal abb jaa class ka time ho gaya hoga apne boy bestfriend ke saath baith."
I smacked her and she just laughed like a hyena. A direct contrast to what she was feeling about the situation just seconds before.
I entered the classroom and sat in my bench. I maid sure that I was careful enough to not look at Naieem when i was on my way to sit in my bench.
"Tum dono saath mei washroom mei itni der kya karte ho?" He said tilting his head.

Y/n put her hands on the book trying so hard to concentrate on reading it. The teacher stuttered as he struggled to pronounce a particular word. "Gadha!" She thought.
Normally she would not have been so condescending. But today was a rather bad day. And the teacher was an English teacher and he wasn't able to pronounce an English word. And also he was an asshole who perved on girls and was too obsessed with their skirt lengths.
If the teachers are not able to teach well they should stay silent and let the students study on their own was her philosophy. And all the teachers followed it except this particular man.
"Can I come in sir?" The heads of all the students in the class lifted. The boring lesson was about to turn fun. The teacher's favourite target had come. The boy had clearly come from a match they won as evident by his dirty jersey and medal around his neck.
"Aa gaya humara ronaldo." The teacher said shutting the book and placing it on the table. The rest of the students snickered.
No further studying would be done. And she would not be able to read the poem as well because the teacher would now humiliate the boy for the rest of the period and try to get other students to humiliate him too. This had already happened before and it seriously annoyed her. It disturbed the quiet environment that she needed for reading. And couldn't he stand up for himself?
Naieem kept his head down. She did not know him that well only that he was the football captain of the school and well kept to himself mostly. He was the captain of the football team so people would expect him to be more bold and popular but he was the opposite. The students picked on him and some teachers did too. But he just stayed quiet. Maybe he was poor? And didn't think that standing up for himself was worth the trouble for his parents.
She would have been more kind to his situation had she not fought with her entire family before school. Today she just thought of him as a no backbone man.
"Beta football khelne se kuch nahi hota padha bhi karo acchi job nahi milegi toh biwi kaise milegi."
Hoots were heard across the classroom. The boy stayed quiet.
"Mai karungi usse shaadi aur job ki baat mai dhund lungi. Mai support karungi iske football career ko." She said not looking up. The classroom turned quiet.
"Uh oh" she thought when she saw the teacher turn red.
"Jao bahar aaj kal ki ladkiyan ladko se zyada badtameez ho gayi hai." He shouted. She pushed her chair back and walked out the class.
If she would have looked around she would have seen the boy lift his head and look at her.
She leaned against the wall and closed her eyes. She would now try to imagine her favourite characters living happily ever after instead of dying as the author intended in the last chapter of her favourite book.
"Hello." She heard a voice saying to her. She opened her eyes and it was Naieem. "Aaj canteen mei 2nd waale table pe anna."
"Mai kyu aaungi?" She asked.
"Date ke liye?"
"DATE?"
"Tumne hi toh kaha tha mujhse shaadi karogi aur mera football career support karogi ek do date pe chalte hai aur fir shaadi kar lenge."
Her eyes stayed wide open till she saw him blushing.
"Oye hero, uss samay maine sirf yeh isliye kaha tha kyuki woh teri bezaati kar raha tha aur mujhe poem padhne se disturb ho raha tha. Thik hai? Aur mujhe tu pasand wasand nahi hai."
"But aap mujhe pasand ho toh date pe chalo."
"Arey pahli baat toh aise ladke jo bezaati sunke apna sar neeche rakhe are not my type. Mujhe confident ladke pasand hai."
"Ban jaayega hum confident"
"Haa haa" she said sarcastically. "Agar mere type ka ladka uss teacher se ye sab cheez sunta toh woh uss teacher ko thappad maarta aur tu bahar khada bhi kyu hai?"
"Kyuki unhone mujhe bahar nikal diya."
"Aur tumne kuch nahi kaha. Typical."
"Mai toh sirf unse baat karta hu jinke liye mere dil mei jagah ho." He said standing up straighter.
"Toh mujhse baat kyu kar rahe ho"
"Kyuki tum meri biwi banogi."
She rolled her eyes and put her elbow on his shoulder. "Pahle mere type ke bano fir mai tumhari dost banungi aur fir dekhte hai aage kya hoga."
"Accha thik hai. Tumhe waise ladke pasand hai na jo kisi ki nahi sunte aur seedhe violence pe resort karte hai?"
Now that he framed it that way. She looked like a childish teenage girl. Well too late to go back. Gotta maintain the persona. "Haa"
Right then the bell rung and as soon as the teacher came out. Naieem kicked the teacher's legs and when the teacher fell down. He punched him continuously. The teacher cried in pain.
The boys were too scared to pull him back. He had gone feral.
She pulled him back " PAGAL HO GAYE HO KYA?"
His expression changed from anger to a smile "Dekho mai tumhare type ka ban gaya to dost banogi meri."
"Haa haa banungi teri dost abb utho unke upar se." She said while in panic. Because of her the teacher was beaten up and well she was scared that he would take revenge on other students as well because they kinda bullied him as well.
"Aaj se agar tu kabhi bhi mere football khelne pe mujhe toka toh aisi kasainuma pitayi karunga na baccho ko muh dikhane layak nahi rahega." He said and got up. "Rehman Dakait ke vaaris kabhi khali dhamki nahi dete."
"REHMAN DAKAIT KA VAARIS WTF?" she screamed inside her head.
"Toh chalo samosa khaane chalte hai" she had been so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice the boy coming directly in front of her. "Just as friends!" He smiled while putting his bloodied hands in front of her. Normally she would have been disgusted but she was too shocked to do anything except go on auto mode and shake his hands.
"Mai pathan hu" she said.

Spoiler alert for those who have not watched the movie yet!!!
This is literally what I felt like when I saw inosuke's scene in middle of the movie. So fucking happy yet still sad as i remember what he has to go through the next movie :(
I can't accept that gojo's body was not buried. It was displayed sure, but surely there was someone who stole the body and buried him. Someone who would remember the name Satoru gojo forever and not just the strongest. Someone who saw him as a human and not just a weapon.
Now I don't condone bullying but... I really wanna see a quirkless person bullying people with weird quirks like fr. Like imagine if kacchan was quirkless he would still be a menace to society.

Since you had come in late, you figured it was only fair to make up for the hours missed by helping close the diner. It was quiet compared to how business roared during the day, and sometimes you preferred it to your morning shifts just to get away from the usual. That wasn't to say you didn't like your regulars, but certain people did put a damper on things.
You had just checked out the last of your customers for the night. The young couple shuffled out of the booth, leaving behind a few bucks for a tip before heading out the door. "Thank you, guys. Come back and see us." They threw their hand up on their way out.
You moved around the counter to their table, tucking the few bucks away with the rest of your tips and cleaning up the mess. Nat took the opportunity to lock the door and turn off the glowing open sign before anyone else tried to walk in.
It was always good feeling locking up because you knew you didn't have to serve anymore customers.
You raked off the dishes with a fork into the floor before taking the back to the kitchen for Pietro to wash with the rest of the dishes.
"Good news. This is it." You assured. He thanked you kindly before taking the last of the dishes. You returned to the table afterwards.
You often wondered how Wanda and Pietro made it through their shifts without bickering. Especially for as long as you had known them, but you guessed being on two separate ends of the building helped too.
"Freedommmm." Nat threw her arms up, earning a laugh from you and Wanda.
She smiled in response before plopping down in the booth with Wanda to help her fold up some silverware. You wiped down the table and seats while listening to them create small talk.
You glanced out the window at the dark street. Home wasn't far from the diner, but considering it was dark, it only had the walk seem longer. Even having known the people in the town as long as you had, you were fond of the idea of walking home in night.
"No, Nat. Seriously you should have seen him, I don't know what came over him. I've never seen Steve like that." Wanda attempted to talk quietly even though you could still her. Maybe in a busy restaurant she might have went unheard.
You peaked over the booth you were cleaning at them. By the way Wanda leaned closer against the table, you could tell she was trying to keep you from hearing.
"So he just broke the glass out of nowhere? No one knows what set him off?" Nat muttered.
God, they were awful at whispering.
"If you ask me, I think Steve saw her with that new guy." Wanda stopped folding, nearly leaning over the table.
"You mean the one with the long hair? Wears the gloves?"
"That's the one." Wanda confirmed.
You rolled your eyes and finished wiping down the booth before you stood up. "You realize I can hear everything you're saying?" You pointed out.
Nat's eyes widen at your words and Wanda stumbled over her own. "Hey- I wasn't saying anything bad. I just know anything to do with him is a sore subject."
You walked around the counter again to wash your hands in the sink. You glanced at her as you dried your hands. "I don't care who you talk about. I can handle hearing about my ex." You assured. It was the truth, for the most part.
You moved over to the register, opening it to count down your drawer. You sat the till on the counter and shuffled through the money, counting in your head.
Nat spoke up from her seat. "I can't be the only one who thinks he's been a little different since that new guy came around."
"Oh no, I thought so too." Wanda admitted.
I paused counting. "Bucky?"
They both look at each other smirking slightly.
You rolled your eyes when you noticed. "You guys are awful." You mutter and shook your head. What number were you even on again? Oh, right. And you start back where you left off.
"I mean does it not seem that way to you?"
You sighed. You were never gonna get this done. "He's a customer. I haven't even been out with the guy. He gave me one ride to work, and that was only because I was on the side of the road."
"I offered to send the guys." Wanda reminded you.
"I would rather die."
They both burst out in laughter and you laughed a little yourself. Maybe it was a bit dramatic, but you were partly serious. You didn't want to give your ex the satisfaction of saving the day after he was to blame for many previous ruined ones. Like he was some hero or something.
"But seriously, I would rather walk than have to be in the same vehicle as him. I don't need his help." You admitted.
"Fair enough." Nat nodded while she proceeded to fold up some silverware. "Bucky is so cute though. I envy you. I'm gonna need to pop my own tire on the way to work and see if the hunk comes to my rescue."
Wanda laughed and you rolled your eyes. "Hey, now. Wait for a shift with Y/n before you do that. Ya know, just in case he doesn't come."
"Or do you think I should get under the hood? I'm just trying to figure out the best approach."
You set the cash aside, throwing a rag at Wanda and making them both laugh harder. "Seriously the worst."
--
"You sure it's not a problem? I can walk if it is. It's not big deal." You asked as you, Wanda, Nat, and Pietro exit the diner. You stopped for a moment to lock the door.
"You know it's not a problem." She assured. Nat and Pietro said their goodbyes before parting ways to their own cars, leaving you and Wanda on your own.
"I have tomorrow off, so I should have my car back then. Hopefully it won't cost me an arm and a leg." You said as you walked with her the rest of the way to her car.
"It's not a problem. You know I'd give you a ride any day." She looked over the roof of her car at you and unlocking the car.
You smile while reaching for the door, pausing when you hear a car pulling in over your shoulder.
"Is it not obvious we're closed?" You commented, glancing over at Wanda who stared behind you before giving you a look. You knew that look. It was one you had been all too familiar with lately and you sighed. You heard the car door open and shut behind you before you turned to confirm your suspicions.
"Wanda." Steve greeted Wanda with a smile before his eyes finally fell on you. This was currently new for him. He was stepping up his game from keeping an eye on you at the diner to stalking you out in the parking lot.
He didn't greet you though; only stared until you shifted awkwardly under his gaze. What could he want at this time of night? You were just trying to get home.
"Wanda," Steve finally broke the silence. "Do you mind if I talk to Y/n alone for a moment?"
He glanced at her over the roof and she looked at you for an answer. You gave a small nod before Wanda climbed into the car.
Steve didn't say anything, but you could tell he was searching for the words to say. You leaned back against the side of the car with your eyes on the pavement as you listened to the crickets.
"If I asked you a favor, would you listen?" He finally said.
You pulled your eyes to meet his. They were already staring at you, but you were almost positive they had been this whole time.
"What?"
"If asked you to do something for me, well for yourself really, would you listen to me?" He tried again.
You stare at him for a moment, watching him moving to lean beside you. So close if it wasn't for the inch between you, your arms would've been touching. "I'm sure I can guess what this is about."
"I wouldn't be saying this if I didn't think it was serious."
"I'm sure."
He didn't have to say anything for you to know where this conversation was going.
He shot you a look. "I just don't get a good feeling about this, Y/n. I can tell you guys are getting close, and if I'm being honest I don't think Bucky is a good person."
You knew that was coming, but who was he to tell you who you could befriend? "Do you know him?"
"No."
Because that makes perfect sense, right? "Have you talked to him before?"
"No." He answered again.
Your patience was starting to run thin already. Steve was the same guy who proposed to you, only to realize after some time this small town life would never be enough for him. Now here he was asking you to stay away from a man you hardly had anything to do with aside from serving him.
"I don't understand you." You shook your head in disbelief. "This is my job, Steve. He's a customer and I can't stop him from coming here just because you're unhappy. And here you are telling me about this feeling you have toward him, but you can't tell me a thing about him that makes him a bad person. Can you tell me how that makes sense?"
You moved off of the side of the car to face him.
He opened his mouth slightly, trying to figure out what to say. "I can't explain it. I really just need you to trust me." He looked down.
You stared at him in disbelief. "No."
His eyes shot up.
"I'm not going to just trust you, because I remember where that got me."
"I don't know how many times I can say I'm sorry. All I've done is apologize since I've been back. All I'm asking is this one simple thing. Just stay away from him. If all you do is serve him, I don't see why it would be so hard for someone else to take his table." Steve pushed off of the car, standing just a step away.
"So because he's new to town, that means he's dangerous? Oh Heavens, why is anyone serving him then?" You gasped dramatically, putting your hand on your chest.
He ran his finger through his dark blonde hair, pushing it off of his forehead in frustration, pacing slightly in front of you. "I am trying to protect you."
"I can take care of myself. I don't need you to protect me, Steve." You argued back. He had some nerve asking anything from you after everything he had put you through. You finally rolled your eyes, pushing past him to the car. Fuck him and fuck whatever he was feeling.
You paused when you opened the door. "You know what that feeling is, Steve? That's a realization. Not some bad vibe, it's the realization that Bucky is probably better than you'll ever be."
His jaw ticked in anger, watching you starting to get in the car. "I'm just doing my job."
You held onto the door, turning to look at him. "You want to do your job, go patrol and stop stalking me."
He wished he could explain how wrong you were. He wished he would tell you that the real reality of things was nowhere near your bullshit assumption. Bucky was dangerous, and he still is.
Steve stood in the parking lot even after Wanda was driving away.
Why did you always have to be so damn stubborn? He stared after the car until the lights disappeared over the hill.
His thoughts were interrupted by slow clapping and his hand shot up to rest on his gun, staring in the direction the sound was coming from until a shadow slowly moved from the dark.
"I've gotta say, you put on one hell of a show." Bucky chuckled while he lifted his hands for Steve to see them.
"What are you doing here?" Steve demanded, his hand slowly curling around the gun on his side.
"Moving on. Is that not what we agreed on?" Bucky responded innocently. " But ya know it doesn't look like you're doing much of that." He pointed out while he stepped one foot in front of the other.
Steve pulled his gun from the holster, pointing it right at Bucky but his smirk never lessened.
"Oh come on, Rogers. Is that any way to greet your partner?"
"Oh sorry. Go to hell. Is that better." He spat.
Bucky threw his head back with an amused laugh. " Funny, I thought I was already there. I mean the way you trash talked this town, I expected worse honestly. But I see why you came back." Steve narrowed his eyes. "The whole uniform, the fancy squad car, even a gun. This town must really take kindly to criminals." He gestures toward Steve.
He clenched his jaw. Just pull the trigger. He told himself. It would solve everyone's problems.
"Oh..." Bucky started to bring his hand to his mouth, acting surprised. "They don't know, do they?" He tilted his head.
Steve took the gun off of safety so Bucky knew he wasn't playing around. Nor was he going to feed into his bullshit. He stepped closer to Bucky, pointing the gun right at his head. At this point, he didn't care who saw if anyone did.
"Go on." Bucky encouraged. "Pull the trigger. We both know you can. Let's just hope you have the plan this time. This is a pretty public place, Steve. I mean between someone seeing, all the blood you're going to have to clean up, an explanation for my disappearance. How about my body, Stevie? How do you plan on getting rid of my body?"
Steve was gritting his teeth so hard he was amazed they weren't broken.
Just do it. Fuck! Just fucking do it.
No, he's right. You'll never get away with this. Not here.
"Do it!" Bucky raised his voice. He wished he could, but he couldn't. Like he wasn't already regretting every mistake he ever made after Y/n, but he was really regretting ever befriending Bucky. If he had been on his own, it wouldn't have took long for him to come back home. Everything would have fallen back into place and Y/n would have eventually forgive him for ever leaving. Steve slowly released the gun, putting it down. "Pussy."
He knew it would be in his best interest to keep his hands to himself regardless of how hard he wanted to punch Bucky, just to knock the fucking smile off of his face. And maybe if he was lucky break a couple of teeth. He slowly put his gun back in the holster.
"She makes you soft." Bucky realized. Steve lifted his head to look at Bucky. "That's her, isn't it? That girl you always talked about?"
"Bucky." He warned. "If you touch her, I- I swear to God-"
Bucky shrugged his shoulders. "We've shared before. What's the difference?"
Steve couldn't stop himself from grabbing Bucky by the collar of his jacket, bringing him nose to nose with him. "Stay away from her."
The corner of his lips turned up in a smirk.
"I'm so fucking serious. Don't lay a hand on her. This wasn't apart of the deal."
"Oh, fuck the deal, Rogers. You left me in the dirt while you alpha it up here playing the town's hero. If you think for a second they would have gave you that badge knowing you're a fucking murderer. If it wasn't for me, none of this would be possible for you. Don't you see that? That golden boy reputation gets you everything. But it doesn't get you her." Steve's fists were clenched around his collar, the corner of his lip twitching in anger.
"Bucky-"
"Shut the fuck up." He growled before shoving Steve off of him hard and causing Steve to stumble over his feet a little before regaining his balance. Steve felt defeated. All he wanted to do was get his life together and move on, but Bucky just had to follow him home. "Do yourself a favor and stay out of my way."
