I'm not posessive towards my friends, but I do act a bit posessive towards people who like me or have liked me in the past... I constantly monitor who they date or are interested in besides me. There's no better option than me after all, they need my approval first.

I love my friends dearly, but I tend to not sulk if we lose conact or fight. I don't try to impress them, and I always make the decisions I feel are right. If they choose to leave me, why would I hold onto them? Of course for lovers it's different. I want to impress them, be with them forever, and consider their feelings equal to my own.

If someone hurt my friends, I would handle it normally, not with preferential treatment like I would a lover.

i read and enjoyed:

Red Fox (extremely violent psychopathic yandere that learns the hard way what it means to fall in love. lots of political intrigue and can get a bit long-winded at times. a cautionary tale about the downside to seducing—purposefully or not—a mythical being. i believe there is a sequel, but i haven’t read it yet.)

Concubine Walkthrough (minor yandere tendencies from two MLs, but a really excellent story overall. probably the most interesting “i fell into a game world” story ive read period. lots of side characters and VERY long.)

on my to-read list:

I Failed to Oust the Villain! (isekai, seems to be a pretty intense yandere with less focus on romance and more on psychological drama?)

I Tamed My Ex-Husband’s Mad Dog (age gap, younger yandere ML)

Working on getting through the Halloween asks a few at a time! Here’s 1-10

(1) BEING- If you could describe yourself in a few words when it comes to being in a relationship, how would you describe yourself?

Clingy. Jealous. Needy.

(2) MASKS- What character (movie/book/etc) would you say matches your personality/behavior? Why did you choose this character?

Windmaster from TGCF? I fear I am such a Shi Qingxuan kin.

(3) GLOVES- When it comes to growing fond of someone and catching an interest in them, what are some small things you do? Do you like collecting small items they leave behind?

I adore stalking people’s social media. This applies to most people I know and like, not just my obsessions. I am also very attentive, I feel. If I like you, I’ll show you with my actions mostly.

(4) GROWL- If your favorite person/ partner has a friend they like to hang out with even though you don't like them, how do you react?

Being a submissive sort, I’ll probably be subtle about any lurking dark feeling. I’ll just play the whining dog, pouting and demanding affection in a bratty tone.

(5) HOWL- What are some things you do when your partner isn't giving you the attention you want? (Do you pout? Sigh excessively? Etc.)

Depends. I can be sweet and begging, or I can shut down entirely. I’ll either run off and sulk or I’ll try to get your attention.

(6) DRESS UP- Do you want to wear costumes with your partner for Halloween? If so, what would you have in mind?

I do not have a partner currently. This Halloween I plan to be Ada Wong from Resident Evil.

(7) STALKING- If you already have an interest in someone, but they don't know about it, would you take advantage of Halloween and watch them in the dark?

Hmm. I make my affections obvious. I would probably just invite said person out for an event, if I knew them. Or maybe coincidentally show up at an event they go to, and have a totally not orchestrated meet cute!

(8) FILMS- Would you prefer to go out on Halloween night, or stay in and watch horror movies instead?

I am not one for movies. I like being out and about, doing things and experiencing all there is to see!

(9) SACRIFICE- How would you react to a rival “accidentally” brushing shoulders with your darling at an October festival?

Play protective. Ask my darling if they are alright after being “bumped into” by “someone so rude.”

(10) FIRE- Let's say you write love letters to your darling, you either keep them or give it to them. Would October change anything in the way you write the letter? Would it be more creepy and specifically detailed?

I actually have a history of writing love letters. I’m very much one who has a way with words. I’d probably theme the paper or decorations. I love a good journal spread.

This might be a weird question but fuck it, I'll ask: I write ASMR scripts in my spare time and I was wondering if you would be alright with me using your interpretation of yandere Ouma in my Danganronpa scripts? I think the way you portray him as a yandere is really interesting and would be a blast to write, but I've never seen anyone outside of you write him this way so I wanted to ask permission before going for it. I am happy to credit you in the script doc, link you to the audio, etc. Thank you again - love your writing. Always a delight to read!

I also don't fully want to take credit over an interpretation either, if you really like my version of a Yandere Kokichi who is less focused on physical punishments or defenses and more focused on psychological as he followed DICE rules, who also obsesses over multiple people at a time then I fully encourage anyone to explore it. if you want to go "hey im inspired by this person" then that's awesome and im grateful, but i dont want to be like "this is MY idea only and if you're inspired by it that's stealing" you feel? I love seeing other persons interpretations of things! I do appreciate you asking though!

i find lots from blogs like @maleyanderecafe! i also check the uploaders of my favorite yandere manga, because they tend to upload similar stuff. hottieaddicted is one of my fav yandere uploaders. when that fails, i just browse for yandere lists on batoto.

This feels like such a strange question to ask, but where do you read your yan Manga? I'm kinda new to reading Manga (as in I haven't done it in ages and everything I used to use has long since been obliterated) and I would really like to sink my teeth into some of the stuff you've posted!

not a strange question at all. i almost exclusively use batoto; it’s been the most consistent manga hosting site in the past few years. i read on mobile (iOS) with adblock and have never had an issue with obtrusive ads etc. if you have the means, please also consider supporting artists on places like dlsite, which lets you buy translated manga chapters.

i'm not super familiar with him (i played the game on launch and didn't get too far), but here are some i think i might fit the archetype.

manga/manhwa

i reincarnated as the little sister of a death game murder mastermind and failed: ML is a ruthless psychopath who is cold, calculating, extremely intelligent, manipulative, and cares nothing for anyone--not even his stepsister, who he murders in his original story. but maybe this time it will be different...

love and heart: manipulative, intelligent, and always scheming to isolate yoh until he is the only one she needs. he is pretty gentle with her because he cares about her, but that doesn't stop him from manipulating and lying to her to achieve his goals.

red fox: a girl learns the consequences of accidentally seducing a mythical being. ML is cruel, sadistic, and scheming. this is not a fluffy story and has a lot of uncomfortable themes.

videogames

yang from the piofiore games: yang is a boss in the chinese mafia and is very cocky, dominant, intelligent, driven, and ruthless, and i'd say he challenges the mc while eventually growing a soft spot for her. he's not really a yandere, but he's a great love interest regardless. 🎮(˙∀˙)

scien from virche evermore: scien is a literal genius, cold, calculating, ruthlessly efficient, and motivated to achieve his goals. like yang, he challenges the mc and eventually becomes gentle with her--the only person he's able to become soft with. also not a yandere, but his bad ending kind of edges into that territory maaaaybe.

does anyone else have other recommendations?
