Chapter 2: Spark of Emotions

Hey guys hope you enjoyed part one on to part 2! Jay P.O.V I woke up surrounded by a thick dark mist, I couldn’t see anything until the mist cleared to reveal a burning village My burning village, then I saw a tall figure with a halberd raised above his head as just as he was about to bring it down on my head I jolted awake in my bed

Frost had formed on my hands from fear and I looked at my scroll to see the time, 4:03 a.m. since I wasn’t going to be able to sleep again I might as well go train, team JNPR had showed me how to operate it and where it was, I got dressed and headed towards the training room as questions raced through my head (why were the flashbacks coming again so soon? What or who was the guy with the halberd? What does this mean?)

Yang P.O.V I woke up to an extreme temporary cold, I heard mumbling outside and peaked out the door to see Jay mumbling to itself, I quickly got dressed and followed him to wherever he was going, he ended up making his way to the training room and started messing with the computer

Jay P.O.V I looked at the difficulties on the computer, they were labeled Legend Extreme Very Hard Hard Average Easy Very Easy Beginner I selected Extreme since it was 4 in the morning and I didn’t want to push myself to hard before class, after I presses the buttons I stepped into the arena and pulled out my axe

Yang P.O.V 4 holograms appeared all with different weapons, one with a Scythe, one with a Trident, one with a spear, and the final one with another axe,  they all charged at Jay with their weapons ready to swing, they never told us what their semblance was so I was curious to see what he had in store, just as the Scythe robot swung we dodged under it and hit it with the bottom part of the handle with his axe and then swung the axe at its chest, sending it flying into the wall, the Trident robot tried jabbing at him but he effortlessly dodged its strikes, then Jay raised his fist into the air and 4 ice spikes impaled the robot, killing it instantly, the spear robot tried to throw its weapon at him but Jay backhanded it into the air and formed a war hammer out of ice, jumped into the air and smacked the back of the spear shooting it into its chest

The Scythe robot had snuck up behind Jay and was about to swing but before the blade made contact an ice pillar shot out of the ground blocking the shot, Jay then punched the pillar and on the opposite side a giant ice fist hit the robot, shattering it, the final robot standing ran at Jay and the two’s axe’s clashed for a good while until Jay got a lucky strike and chopped its head clean off

3 hour time skip Jay P.O.V I had just finished the last of the 4 robots and the computer announced the score

A.I.: “Jay Talion-58, Computer-2”

I decided to call it quits, I had been fighting for 3 straight hours and I wanted to take a long shower, as I turned to walk out I saw a yellow flash out the the corner of my eye, I pulled my axe out and prepared to fight, just then Yang walked out with her beautiful lilac eyes wide with amazement, I realized she was watching me and I put my Axe back in its place on my back

Yang: “That. Was. AWESOME!!!!

Jay: “heh, thanks Yang” I rubbed the back of my neck sheepishly thinking of what to say

Yang: “I didn’t know you were such a good fighter, the only other students at Beacon that use that difficulty are Pyrrha and I” she said seeming very impressed “where did you learn to fight that well?” She asked me

Jay: “(shit…. what do I say?? I can’t tell her about my past yet….)” I though for a second before saying “I’ve just been very good at fighting” I try and lie the best I can

Yang: “Mhmmmmmm, alright if you say so” she said, trusting my word “come on we should get back to the dorms

Yang P.O.V We began walking back to our dorms, I wanted to know more about him because I don’t believe that he’s just “naturally good” so I decide to ask him some questions, get to know him better

Yang: “So Jay what was your old school like before you came to Beacon?” I asked

Jay: “not very interesting, I spend time with my team, worked on schoolwork, I didn’t make any friends besides my team so I was just kinda us 4 against the world, if that makes sense”

Yang: “yeah, I get it, some people are just content with those around them”

Yang: “so did you have any girlfriends back at your old school?” I asked, halfway curious and halfway joking

Jay: “Nah, I can never talk to girls, I’ve just spent most of my time dedicated to my team and studies, plus I’m social awkward”

Yang: I was honestly kinda surprised that someone like Jay was actually single “Are you serious? I expected some girl to already have you, lucky me that you don’t already have someone” I winked at him

His face went more red than Ruby’s cloak as he looked away

Jay: “u-uhhhh, n-no I’ve never dated a-anyone, and again I c-can’t talk to girls anyway” he said very nervously

Yang: “But you’re talking to me right now? I don’t see the difference”

Jay: “w-well it’s different, I feel like you and I get along well, plus you’re actually kind to me” (jeez I really do have a crush on her do I???)

Yang: “Thanks Jay, that’s sweet of you, I feel the same way”

We arrived at our dorms and walked in our own separate dorms

I walked inside to see my teammates getting ready for classes Ruby noticed me walk in

Ruby: “Hey Yang, where were you, when we woke up we couldn’t find you?”

Yang: “I saw Jay walking to the training room and I decided to follow him there, I watched him win 58 out of 60 fights against 4 Extreme level robots” I smiled confidently at my new friends achievement

My teammates eyes widened in shock hearing what Jay had done, Weiss didn’t seem very convinced though

Weiss: “There’s not way that Jay did that, the only other students to fight Extreme difficulty robots are you and Pyrrha and it was just 1v1’s, there’s no way he was able to beat 4 of them 58 times” she glared at me thinking I was lying

Yang: “well then if you don’t believe him than you can fight him in class today so I can prove you wrong” I smirked and held out my hand

Weiss: “fine then, I will, and when I beat him you’ll be nothing but a liar” she shook my hand with confidence and we got ready for classes today

Jay P.O.V /Both of these happen at the same time\

I walked into my dorm to see my teammates doing their normal morning routines, Leon was reading /yeah I’m doing that ironically\, Liz was brushing her hair, and Wes was meditating, Leon sensed me and set his book down

Leon: “Hello Jay, where were you at this morning? We woke up and you weren’t here”

Jay: “I woke up at 4 am and I went to the training room for a couple hours, Yang followed me and we had a small chat before I came to take a shower”

Wes looked up from his spot and smirked at me

Wes: “Ooooooh, you spent some time with Yang huh?” He said trying to mock me

Jay: “Come on Wes you give me a break, yeah I like her but I don’t think I have a chance” I said sheepishly “I do really like her but I have no experience with stuff like this.”

Liz: “Come on Jay give yourself some credit, I can tell she likes you, and if you want…… I can try and get her to if she doesn’t” Liz smirked evilly at me

Jay: “whatever Liz, do what you want if taking a shower and then I’m heading to class”

I took a shower and got ready for my first school day at beacon, completely forgetting about what happened at 4 this morning, wondering what would happen today
