Having read about the bloodlust disease, I was wondering, is it a dominant or recessive gene? Because I'm thinking about all the yanderes who want to have children with their darling... and just wondering.
It can manifest both as a dominant gene and a recessive one, at least for the minimal strain! One doesn't need to have a parent that has bloodlust to have the minimal type, but in order to have the ravenous strain there needs to be at least one parent or ancestor to have it. There's always the possibility of someone who has parents with the gene to not develop the ravenous type, but they'll at least have the minimal strain, probably with a few more quirks than what would be typical.
The Azumakos are a good example: Yuya has manifested minimal bloodlust and passed it on to Makoi, who has a more aggressive strain of the minimal type because of his upbringing. Therefore Makoi's kids are not only guaranteed to have bloodlust, but it's almost 100% likely that they'll all be born ravenous. So if you were to have children with a first generation minimal type yandere, there's a good chance you can avoid them being ravenous or even parent the behavior and the urges out of them. But if you're dealing with a second or third generation minimal, or any of the ravenous types, you're going to have a lot of violent little baby yanderes on your hands.
