I remember once reading something of yours about seme & uke as literary roles rather than as primarily about which partner is the more "feminine" one. As I recall it, you also didn't see pursuer vs pursued as the primary factor, is that right? Would you say it's more along the lines of a classical lover and beloved distinction -- the lover desires the beloved and the beloved desires to be desired by the lover? In general very interested in this topic of uke/seme or gong/shu as literary roles!
