Lizzie got us to do an omegaverse test and...and I'm a *checks notes* submissive omega...
Anyways! It got me thinking of Omega!reader who...is the stereotypical omega — sweet, kind, submissive. All soft edges and sweet eyes. But people tend to not clock you as an omega right away from the self confidence you portray.
Going out for a drink at some random bar, the 141 pack zones in on you, sitting there with some friends, laughing. When one of them steps closer to you? You're wafting out pheromones, consciously puffing up with an easy smile, it's authority in a way they're not used to — it's not the authority of a leader, captain or pack alpha.
It's the authority of a caretaker. Of who you feel deep in your bones you should be worshipping. You make quick work of having the whole pack around your fingers, and they don't even stop to think about how they're all puppy eyes and ready to please just after a few chats with you.
Even worse, when you pay for your bill and smile at them, telling them to "be good and don't get in trouble, yeah?" Before leaving.
They didn't get your number, barely got your name, but they're all ready to be good and don't get in trouble, because you said so, and they wouldn't want you dissapointed at them, even the pack alpha felt dizzy with the need to please you and follow your command.
