TLOU S2E1
Yarn Edition!
It’s not the greatest color combo but they were the only two of this brand (Caron something or other) of yarn I had, and anything else in the stash that claimed to be the same weight just worked up like string in comparison. I get bored crocheting in one color, lol. It’s just practice, anyway! I’m using this pattern: https://youtu.be/SnxZEN9NL80
Hello spinning tumblr! Does anyone know if there are any good places to resale used spinning equipment? (Other than craigslist and fb marketplace). My elderly friend is down sizing her spinning equipment and so I'm trying to help her sale her Jensen Ashley wheel and her Louet carder. I'm just wondering if anyone has advice on places to post them?
Pictures attached for reference:
OBSESSED my favorite yarn dyer is putting out sets based on birth flowers (which i love; as someone born in april I do not love diamonds but i loooove daisies and sweet peas). Can't wait to see her daisy/ sweetpea set!!
What kind of yarn are you using, I like it 👀
thanks! i’m using yarnspirations caron anniversary cakes in the brown shade of ‘cookie parade’! i found it at michaels :)
I'm considering charging a premium for people that request things that use black yarn.
Commissioner: How much to make this hat?
Me: $20
Commissioner: I want 3 black ones, please.
Me: That'll be $120
Has anyone every purchased a Nordic Mart mystery yarn box? Did you like it? I”m curious because I’ve been wanting too but have missed it EVERY time it has become available. At this point I don’t think the notify me when in stock works anymore for me lol.
I like to think that one day I can snag one.
So I decided to make this pattern that called for a particular yarn that didn't come in the colors I wanted to use, so I selected a substitute.
Now, the substitute skein comes in a different number of yards than the pattern skein does, so while the pattern called for 4 skeins, I mathed it out and bought 6 substitute skeins.
I think the pattern author might be sponsored by her selected brand, because I'm about halfway through this thing, and I haven't used a third of the yarn I bought. I'm sure she must have inflated the "needed" quantity just a little bit.
But I'm already making plans for the remaining yarn I'm sure to have leftover, and I'm super stoked to make a(nother) pair of fingerless gloves to wear at work. This yarn I have is rather soft and squishy, and since it's acrylic (bite me, yarn snobs!), my new mitts are sure to be delightfully warm!
