I've been thinking about how Porsche is going through this giggly teenager first love experience at the age of 23 and it feels so ... soothing.

I'm not saying that it's uncommon for tv shows or movies to depict adult characters dealing with The Deep and All-consuming Love for the first time, but it's not really their "first" first time. They've known affection, intimacy, devotion and heartbreak. They felt the butterflies at the tender age of 17 and can simply recognize the feeling when it hits them again in the future. They will be more cautious, however, because of the EXPERIENCE, both positive and negative.

But when people grow up, they find out that no one can be trusted easily. Because, whether you like it or not, a person mentally prepares themselves to be betrayed, let down, taken advantage of etc. They become closed off, reversed, scared to open up. Remember what Elio's father said at the end of cmbyn? "Before you know it, your heart is worn out". We bottle those feelings and emotions willingly, because we've been hurt before.

Porsche, on the other hand, despite all pain and shit he had to endure, welcomes those new feelings with open arms and wants to be consumed by them. He sees the opportunity to finally be happy and disgustingly in love and grabs by *cough kinn's cough* throat.

okay, I’m definitely late on this one, but I just watched the music video for Zara Larsson’s Symphony and fuck, that was amazing?? I always love to see LGBT representation anywhere, but it’s so rare to see it displayed as anything other than two white boys/girls, they went there, a black, gay couple. It has so much emotion and it’s just so beautiful, I usually don’t bother watching music videos these days and I just stumbled on it and fuck, I’m so happy? the whole mirror scene is so raw and that’s really rare to be able to portray in just a couple of minutes, Clean Bandit really is amazing and always picks amazing singers, I’m so thrilled for the great representation!
