i've started watching "love story in the 1970s", and episode 5 is making me think of a poly-adjacent au where ye feng gets chaotically integrated into what fei ni and fang muyang have going on*

i mean – at least atp of watching – he has the perfect potential to fan the flames of the sheer trashfire (/pos) of the other two

*with a "crack taken seriously" tag, because i'm currently not thinking of any serious & canonical concepts and just having fun with this. i can def see a rivals-to-lovers pipeline with ye feng and fang muyang, all while fei ni is calculatedly cheering that on from the sidelines, and that would be a really funny solution to the love triangle the writers are currently attempting to do rn
