i've started watching "love story in the 1970s", and episode 5 is making me think of a poly-adjacent au where ye feng gets chaotically integrated into what fei ni and fang muyang have going on*

i mean – at least atp of watching – he has the perfect potential to fan the flames of the sheer trashfire (/pos) of the other two

*with a "crack taken seriously" tag, because i'm currently not thinking of any serious & canonical concepts and just having fun with this. i can def see a rivals-to-lovers pipeline with ye feng and fang muyang, all while fei ni is calculatedly cheering that on from the sidelines, and that would be a really funny solution to the love triangle the writers are currently attempting to do rn

my contribution to the first day of the songxuexiao love week 2026 (the "lullaby" prompt), in the spontaneous form of a fic first written in russian and then translated into english. i've been wanting to make my ao3 account more multilingual, and this turned out to be a very good opportunity for this

my assorted headcanons for og!lbh:

bingge has straighter hair than bingmei, and it always smells of different hair oils since he keeps confusing his with his wives'

bingge has soft hands. because his hands have always been rough and calloused, and got even more scarred in the abyss, and when he unlocked demonic regeneration abilities he made sure to use them on his hands

bingge keeps his claws out most of the time, but he has hidden dexterity issues since he didn't grow up using them

bingge is really good at calligraphy, since he wanted to earn shen jiu's favor back when he was a qing jing disciple

bingge has gotten weirdly familiar with female clothing construction because he undresses his wives so much

bingge has gone around covertly feeding his servants his blood so that he wouldn't get betrayed. or, so that if he does, he'd be able to instantly stop them

bingge had to get used to piercing his skin in order to use his blood droplets. after several years, he barely feels a sting with how used he's become to it

bingge's blood is red with a faint golden tinge – a hint at his heavenly demon ancestry

bingge sleeps with a wife on one side and xin mo on the other side. with all the assassination attempts, he doesn't feel safe unless his sword is close by

some of his favor-seeking wives draw flame huadian based on his zuiyin seal. none of them get the patterns quite right, and bingge spends some evenings staring into a bronze mirror and thinking of tianlang-jun, since his father had a similar-looking zuiyin

bingge studies xuan su's shards and the bond between it and yue qingyuan in order to know his own sword better. he asks shen jiu about it – and is forced to research it on his own since shen jiu genuinely hadn't known of it

Have said it thousands of times but gonna say it again, i think is insane that there's no questions asked about Luke forgiving/ sparing/loving Vader, he's just a sunshine, he just loves his dad, he's just heroic, he's sweet and a beacon of light, reaching for Vader who's actively evil and has killed countless is just inspiring and awesome.

But we have to psychoanalyze Padme to the end of hell and back and make disclaimers and make sure you repeatedly state you don't defend domestic violence. Luke is sunshine and perfect but Padmé: she's a woman and she's insane, she ignores red flags, she's like Bella, she's a proto tradwife, she's a Bad Character, she doesn't make sense, she was badly written, she has internalized misogyny, she was blind, she was stupid and weak for being in love, she should have murdered him, she's clearly dumb because she should have gotten with Obi-Wan, she was written by men and it shows because she chose Anakin, she's this and that. Anakin had to use mind control on her. She had Stockholm Syndrome. She would have allowed Anakin to abuse their twins. She should have ran away with a girl, she had 13 handmaidens to chose from. Her neurons were fried. She romanticizes abuse/toxic relationships. It would be more interesting if it was a darker ship and she was abused and had no say on it. She's a bad mother. She's an enabler. She should have cared more about her job. She should have led the rebellion and fight against Vader. Leia would hate her. Her hair is stupid. She wears dresses.

Respectfully; Luke was an adult when he met Vader, but besides that, Luke nor Padmé are ignorant of Anakin's flaws, they're not blind.

I was venting about the fact that people will make the most misogynistic claims at the sole mention of Padmé, and that I can't engage with anidala without being met with forty days and forty nights of discourse ranging from she's thinking solely with her pussy and therefore stupid to her character only makes sense if she was brainwashed and raped because otherwise this woman is evil or disgusting or a submissive tradwife.

Luke has more than plenty of information on Vader's crimes, he idealized his father up until the truth was revealed, and still chose to have faith despiste knowing on very first hand what Vader has done.

The whole point is loving despite the flaws and giving a chance for change.

Not "Luke is so innocent he knows nothing because he blindly idealizes the guy who tortured his friends, killed countless and cut his hand".

Luke idealized an idea of a father he didn't know, he didn't idealize Vader.

Luke sometimes is criticized for this, but it doesn't bring the insane sexist discourse that Padmé does. As for a more general view, he's excused because he's a poor fool who's ignorant of his father's deeds and doesn't know he killed kids.

Luke has experienced more of Vader's cruelty than Padmé by a far shot and he gets (mostly) a pass under perceived ignorance, but Padmé was deranged and delulu.

going through the planacardia storyline and visiting graphia academy's old campus location made me intensely watch to rewatch tbhk/finally finish the second season. the vibes – and the ost – are just immensely on point, and there's definitely something subtly haunting about it in the best of ways

(i can kind of see a hsr x tbhk crossover au with himeko and welt as teachers in the kamome gakuen. himeko could be a ghost with a similar deal to tsuchigomori or smth like that, and welt could have a minamoto-esque exorcist background to reference the anti-entropy lore back in hi3)
