UMMM. trigger warning for suicide :') i put those parts under the cut

originally my idea for this was a bit different, but. now that i'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that their second life ability was given to them by the spectre & they did not get any actual power pre-forsaken, i've kind of tweaked that around

kind of a side tangent here but it's a bit relevant to try to explain the mindset they have in my interp AUGH

so. essentially. living with undiagnosed neurodiveregency and mental illness wasn't easy for them HFJFJDKGF. it led them to incredible self-loathing. they knew that something wasn't right about them, that they were born wrong, inherently tainted. this was their main motivation to join the cult, their chance to finally fix themselves. they thought that they could be reborn as an entirely different person by respawning.

at some point after the ritual, they resorted to taking their own life. they did not want to wait any longer. it was their only hope at this point. their only hope to be freed both from their own self that they despised so much, and the additional guilt that was eating away at them after they killed the one person that they felt a genuine connection with. the one person that actually brought them joy.
