I saw that almost tgcf is gonna get a second season/part
Is that outdated or will we get more almost tgcf comics?
Also good luck with the shop!
Thank you so much!! :D About season 2: the plan was to have it ready for... for this month (April), but I recently realized that I might have to delay it (again) because I've been informed that working at a library, taking care of a shop, and working on a webcomic with an editor are actually three separate jobs and not just me fucking around /srs. So, I've actually done all the sketches for season 2, but I'm still currently into the inking stage and going at it very slowly.
But since it's been 2 years sinc season 1, I think you guys deserve a treat, so here's a little snippet of it:
Rewrite has been kind to all of you. They set up a picnic for everyone—With a pie and turkey. Surprisingly, Ekiduna and Miles agreed to split it. Ekiduna didn't fight for all the food, and you didn't have to step in.
Rewrite was surprisingly calm and caused no trouble. Instead, they stuck by your side with a wide smile on their face, taking every opportunity they could to hug you or wrap their arm around your shoulder, or even just lean against you.
"Isn't this great?" Rewrite states, leaning their head against your shoulder as they look out into the distance. You follow their gaze and notice them watching Miles and Ekiduna chat.
"Yeah... It is." You agree, a soft smile on your face. You love these peaceful moments, where everyone is calm and happy. "It's nice, seeing everyone so happy."
"It's nice seeing you so happy, too!" Rewrite gleams as they put more of their weight onto you, starting to push you over.
"Okay, okay! Thank you! You can calm down before you push me over!" You say with a smile. Thankfully, Rewrite obliges, taking their weight off of you.
It was nice.
You almost forgot the truth of your situation.
Until, one day...
"Say, everybody! Let's play a game!" They announce.
An unsettled feeling fell into your gut. You always knew their games didn't end well. Sometimes, no one died... But sometimes...
They do.
Miles lost that time, as he normally did. You're not surprised.
You shouldn't be. So why are you surprised to see Rewrite whisk him away?
Why are you surprised to discover Rewrite has killed Miles somewhere? Somewhere beyond your view?
Why do you feel so nauseous and afraid?
You make your way deep into the forest. Fleeing, trying to escape from any prying eyes.
Reality hits you all over again.
That could have been you.
You're not their friend. You're their prisoner.
Your stomach twists into knots. How could you have forgotten?
Their sweet words. How sweet and kind and thoughtful they can be.
You almost forgot what they did to you. They've tormented you too, before. Just like all the others.
Their kindness. Their sweetness. They're just messing with your head.
...
They've succeeded in that goal. Your mind is confused. You've felt so much comfort from them, that...
"Hello, friend!" Rewrite suddenly greets you cheerfully. "Why are you hiding all the way out here?"
You flinch and spin around, your eyes meeting theirs.
...You've forgotten they're the reason you're trapped in this place to begin with. The truth is, you're at their mercy, and any warmth they show you is a lie.
You stare at them for a few seconds, bewildered and lost in thought.
"Hey..." You greet back. "Just- Needed some air." You stutter out. Not really a lie.
Rewrite looks around, finger tapping their chin. "There's air all around you, though." Their eyes snap back to yours. "Would a game help you, friend?"
"No, no- Absolutely not." You immediately decline. You know it could end up in someone dying again. "I just... I'm fine." You force a smile and try to will your limbs to stop shaking. "Don't worry about it."
Rewrite stares at you. They say nothing, yet their smile remains.
...Their silence makes you more nervous. You avert your eyes. "I'm going to go now. If you don't mind."
"I do mind!" Rewrite lightly protests. Your gaze shoots to them, alarmed despite their light-hearted tone.
They take a single step towards you.
Instinctively and fearfully, you back away. They stop their approach and put their hands on their hips.
"You're so weird!" They say with a shake of their head. "Why do you keep flip flopping on me?"
"I don't know what you expect when you keep killing my friends!" The words come out on their own, fumbling and more shaky than you want them to.
"Friends?" They parrot with a tilt of their head, almost sounding... Confused.
There's a long pause as you stare them in their eyes. Their expression is unchanging and unreadable.
You shrink under their stare, averting your eyes.
"...Yes. My friends." You confirm warily. "They're my friends."
Rewrite plays a rough, staticy noise akin to a scoff.
"何でも。Do what you need to." Rewrite states in a low tone. They quickly turn around, ready to walk away... But their head remains turned enough to look you in the eye. "I'll be here when you come to your senses, friend."
There's an odd venom laced in that last word of theirs.
