It's already the end of 2013 and I have a lot of things to be really thankful of for the past year. 

Let's do a recap! Shall we? :)

January

Johnny's showed a documentary of the Johnny's World. It featured our young Johnny's idols who are working hard for a musical. This documentary reminded me how I became a JPop fan and how thankful am I to have become one of their fans. The Johnny's fandom is indeed one of my inspirations. February

Came February 2nd, I celebrated my 23rd birthday with wonderful friends from the fandom. Thank you so much to B1, B2, Ate Ekai, Ate Butchoy and Jenpi for celebrating my 23rd birthday with me. I wouldn't also forget that someone asked me out for a date on Valentine's day! BUT! SADLY! He only asked me through my ask.fm account! I really wonder who are youuuuuu! Please personally ask me out next time! I won't bite! haha!

March

Came March, Philippine One Ok Rockers' organized a tribute night for ONE OK ROCK. Thank you dearest admins for organizing this awesome music event for ONE OK ROCK! Click for the photos. It was also featured in Manila Standard Today. Click for the article.

Also on March, I was invited by the members of Kirei Ningyou to their anniversary. Thank you dearest Jenpi, Yannie and Jewel for inviting me! Please do keep on covering Perfume dances for us. I'm really looking forward to your upcoming performances!! For some photos, CLICK.

Nakamaru Yuichi, my ichiban in KAT-TUN has also finally graduated from Waseda University last March. I'm really proud of you, Maru. You have already gone so far. <3 

April 

When April came, I was lucky to be working again for a JPOP online radio station called [J]Worldorder. I wrote numerous JPOP news articles for the site. Thank you to my boss, Michael, for taking me as one of the contributors! I really had fun writing for your radio station. :)

Also on this month, I attended Hyphens Philippines' 3rd Gathering. Thank you to my friends, Elli and Boots who pushed me to still attend the said gathering. Thank you, dear friends! Click here for some photos.

It was also in April that I got to talk to the person who is handling Amuse Inc. Asia's facebook page. I was really happy for our local fanclub since they now know that Filipino Amuse fans do exist and we're doing something here to promote their awesome artists!

May

May was indeed a very unforgettable month for since I got to witness a JPop concert once again. This time, it was dear Kyary. Her live was very awesome and what really hyped me up was I got to even shake hands with her! I was really really in heaven that time! Also before I went to Kyary's concert, I met one of the amazing ladies behind Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Philippines: Anne. She's very oshare and a lovely girl. I'm really glad to have met you this year, Anne! <3

June

Last June, the admins of Philippine One Ok Rockers together with the admins of Amuse Team Philippines helped one another in starting an online petition to bring One Ok Rock here in our shores. We already have more than 1,000 signatures for this petition and we have already talked to Amuse Inc. Asia and to some productions who are willing to bring One Ok Rock here. The members of Philippine One Ok Rockers were also successful to give the banner full of messages for One Ok Rock during their live in Singapore. So far, I can say that our efforts may not be put to waste. :) Here's the link to the petition: CLICK.

July

Came July, it was the birthday of one of my precious people in the whole wide world: Kaku Kento. I honestly forgot his birthday since I was really absorbed with someone then. I failed to greet him on time but nonetheless, I know deep inside my kokoro (heart) that I really admire Kakkun. Thank you for inspiring me dearest, Kakkun bb! <3

I was also lucky to have been able to join the J-MELO Fanmeet with Inoue Joe! I really find him awesome with his hosting skills. He was so so lively during the fanmeet! I love his energy! I shall listen to your songs more, Inoue Joe!!

It was also announced at this month that one of my favorite Amuse bbs will be playing as Seta Soujiro for Rurouni Kenshin! Kamiki! You're an awesome actor, bb! Keep it up!!!

August

For August, I became an activist once again together with my fellow International Studies students from Miriam College. I was able to join the peaceful rally against the controversial issue, Pork Barrel. It was a very worthwhile experience since I really felt the unity of the Filipinos on that day. 

Also on this month, I was able to watch several films at Eiga Sai! This was already my 2nd time in a row. I'll make sure to attend Eiga Sai every year! For my blog post about the Eiga Sai, CLICK.

September

I would not ever forget September 2013 since this month was when I knew that I got chosen as one of the delegates for Japan's exchange program called JENESYS 2.0!!! The moment I knew I was chosen, I literally hyperventilated so much! I was really really really happy! 

October

October was indeed memorable for me since this was the time I already went to the land of my forever dreams: JAPAN! JENESYS 2.0, even though short, was a very life changing experience. It was also proven at this month that you cannot have everything all at once. My thesis group wasn't able to pass the thesis defense resulting to a longer period of doing an undergraduate thesis. But I did not look at it on a negative way. I tried to be positive about this. I was also supposed to graduate by this month but did not because of thesis. But, I'll really make sure to graduate this March!!!

November 

November, another very memorable month for me! This was the time I got to travel together with my lovely friends the very first time! And of course, the very first time in witnessing a ONE OK ROCK concert! How awesomesauce their concert was! I was ogling at Taka and Toru the entire time! Haha! But seriously, hearing and seeing them live made me so so high! I was really in cloud nine at that time! If you want to read my live report, go here: CLICK

Also on this month, I realized that I have already gotten one of my long time wishes: to fall in love. /blushes furiously/ He makes me feel I'm in the land of pastel colors and cheerful music. He makes me blush so hard everytime I talk to him or everytime I talk about him to my friends. He has also become one of my inspirations since he's also a person who chases after his dreams.

Year 2013 was very exceptional for me. This year taught me how to explore more and chase after my dreams. Thank you to my newly found friends and this someone who makes my heart flutter everytime. I will do my very best this year. I'll be a better me this 2014. I have lots of things that I want to do after I graduate like one goal for me this year is to work as an article writer again for a JPop news website! I am also so much looking forward to meet more people this 2014!

HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!

Hey guys! Thank you so much for following me. I was hesitant to post my fanfics at first because I don't know if y'all would appreciate it. I joined the number of fandom blogs, like, a month or two ago. Sorry if I can't provide any great picture. I'm not blessed in drawing lol. If I would sum up my experiences in 2013, I'd say it was hell of roller coaster ride. But just like a roller coaster, despite of the ups and downs, and the dizziness of going round and round, it's still fun. You'll eventually get to the end anyway. 

This 2013, I felt that I have become more mature and independent. College was a really big step for me, that it shifted everything. It was like I had changed into a clearer lens; I now see myself and the people around me differently than before. I believe that I have also drawn closer to God and my family this year, though given the fact that I now live far away from them. I also made really great friends and developed a strong bond with them. This year I think my friends and my studies came next to what's important, after my family. I realized that childish romance didn't matter to me anymore, that romance itself had already lost its appeal to me. I guess this year I took a break on that stuff, and probably the next few years will extend that break. And of course, there are the downs. I had to leave for college, those people who just came and decided not to stay for long, hell weeks, etc. Even growing up. Come to think of it, sometimes growing up sucks. You have to do what grown ups do. You have to leave the people you love because you have bigger responsibilities. You have to decide on things you really don't want to do. You have to compromise with life. 

But all in all, this year is a blessing. 2013 was a chance God gave me to reach closer and closer to my dreams. I can never thank God enough for this wonderful roller coaster ride.

2012 year-ender~

And so we've escaped yet another apocalypse, another 366 days have passed, and the 21st year of my life has flashed before my eyes. I look back at the days of this year and prepare myself for the next. Here is my 2012. Prepare for the year-ender post!

Domestic Affairs Not much has changed in the domestic setup of 2012 as compared to 2011. My mom still works in Kuala Lumpur, leaving me and my sister to manage for much of the year without her. Two visits to that place: One in March and one in June was undertaken, the latter a surprise visit for my mother's birthday. Tensions within the extended family, due to many factors, have caused some quite uncomfortable situations, which prompted our move from Makati to our current location in Paranaque. The commute to and from is quite complicated, but not really taxing, as opposed to what my mother reckons. This move happened in June.

School I started attending the Master's of Science in Chemistry program at the De La Salle University. It has proven to be quite the culture shock (and it still is, in a lot of ways) since there are a lot of things in there that I have never encountered during my stay at Manila Science and at the University of the Philippines. I have done quite well, obtaining quite impressive marks in all but one of my subjects. That one particular subject, Advanced Analytical Chemistry, I managed to pass, and thankfully, in a way that alowed me to keep the 75% tuition scholarship I've attained.

Career Unfortunately, and rather embarrassingly, I've found myself unemployed for quite some time. The first five months, I was employed as Research Associate at the Stem Cell Laboratory of the Lung Center of the Philippines. My heart wasn't in to it at first (and neither did my mother's), but it grew on me after quite some time. I was doing cell culture, mRNA extraction, qRT-PCR, Flow Cytommetry, ELISA, and a lot of other stuff... Helping people deal with Cancer usually, but doing some experiments on the side. I've also gotten closer to a former classmate, Alex, and I felt pretty good about myself. However, I did not renew due to some circumstances that convinced me (though in hindsight, quite a hasty decision), and found myself unemployed for four months. Then in September, I took on a position for Student Assistant for the College of Science at the De La Salle University, dealing with PAASCU recommendations. I wasn't really enjoying the job much, but it allowed to give myself some pride as I was earning again.

Nerd Stuff This year was excellent in terms of nerd stuff. Earlier in the year I was able to go on different cons with my then-apprentice Paurie, cosplaying Okumura Yukio and Nura Rikuo. I was also able to go to my first photoshoot (which I organized in coordination with Paurie, Thomas, and some members of Team Russia Photography), with a cosplaying idol of mine, Chi. However, I was not able to debut any more costumes, and attend any more cons due to me moving, and my then-saturday classes. Due to my unemployment, however, I found another outlet for geekery - Magic: The Gathering. This all started to me taking an interest in the game and getting tutored (albeit not the demonic variety) by Planeswalkers Thomas, Choy, Fred, and Arnel via cockatrice and our unorthodox play variant, League of Madness.

Love life Working on it. :p haha. I've been to two "dates" with the girl I'm currently infatuated with, although she paid for both. Haha (long story, don't ask). I greet her every morning, and it never fails to make my day. >////<

As for my goals for the coming year, I'm relying on Project: Catch-22 for my goal setting. Happy new year, everyone!

2012.

What did you do in 2012 that you'd never done before?

-- Go to the gym. Take note of what I eat (calorie counting hahaha).  Attend a college party. Ride a huge ferris wheel. Overnight at J's. Try starting a habit consciously and successfully do it for a couple of weeks (habit of waking up early). Take a pregnancy test HAHAHA (Long story! And no, it's not because I really thought that I was pregnant haha). Audition for a choir. Join a choral competition. Dance in a concert (UP SDC!). Play a serious game of volleyball (epic fail). Go to a comedy bar.

Did you keep your New Years' Resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

-- I don't make New Year's Resolutions. I'm not sure if I'll make some for 2013.

Did anyone close to you give birth?

-- Yep. My aunt. :) 

Did anyone close to you die?

-- Yes. My grandma, Mama Be :(

What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?

-- More determination and perseverance. Hahaha. And an advanced point-and-shoot digital camera.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?

-- I lost weight! HAHAHA. And I got a line of 1 na grade sa EEE subject.

What was your biggest failure?

-- Failed a EEE subject. And, I let my online retail business die down. :/

Did you suffer illness or injury?

-- Yes! Well lagi akong may sakit haha. And I sprained my ankle (until now, it hasn't fully recovered yet).

What was the best thing you bought for 2012?

-- Hmm. Android tablet? I guess. Idk. Food?

Where did most of your money go?

-- Food. Impulsive buys!

What did you get really, really, really excited about?

-- Quite a lot. Haha.

What song(s) will always remind you of 2012?

-- I was able to set goals for myself, and I actually took concrete steps in order to achieve them. Fortunately, I did achieve most of them :) And even though I wasn't able to really get some of the things that I was aiming for (full-on acads mode, no procrastination, etc), I still did remarkably better than last year! Kahit papaano mas nag-effort na. :)
