Back For Seconds II Post-Canon
Risu hummed as she zoomed behind the counter of the brand new restaurant. It was everything she had hoped for, and more. The more part was mostly because it was HERS and it had a REAL KITCHEN and everything in it WORKED... The ability to move around and have multiple spaces open to work was a plus as well. She had become so used to cramped cooking spaces, it felt surreal to be able to use a cutting board, and not worry about hitting her head on a cupboard, or bump her elbows.
After the final battle at Honnouji, she had finally been able to get back to her training journey. She finished in Okinawa, and then returned to her master to show him her improvements, as well as tell him all that had transpired on the little island. Much to her amazement, Tensei had known exactly what had been going on at Honnouji. He didn't do a very good job of explaining how he knew, but Risu had the sneaking suspicion it had something to do with the Nudist Beach people. Either way, Tensei had agreed that she was finally up to snuff and he would honor the apprenticeship contract they had: he would pay for her opening her own space, living arrangements, and when she was older, her cooking school.
So, after much debate on where she would set up shop, she returned to Honnouji. It had been the place where she had started selling permanently, and she assumed a majority of the people who had stuck around the area would remember her food (hopefully).
It was her second day of being open, and she was excited to get going. The opening had been... Okay. She hadn't been as successful as she had hoped, but the customers who had come in had mentioned knowing people who used to talk about her food. She hoped that word-of-mouth would get things moving again, much like it had in the past.
The door jingled as someone walked in, and she perked up drastically.
"Hiya!" Risu chirped to the newcomer. "You can either sit at the counter, or you can grab a seat at a table. The specials are on the board."
