#kimickaphotoaday September Day 23: Wonder Girls Nobody 12 Years ago (yesterday, 9/22/08) Wonder Girls released their smash hit Nobody. Following in Tell Me’s footsteps, the song sparked a dance craze in Asia and the English version (released the following year) went on to debut at 76 on the Billboard Hot 100, the FIRST Kpop group to chart on the Billboard charts. (Back before Billboard even had Kpop charts). The group would go on to release the song in Chinese, and Japanese as well. Multiple remixes of the song have been released and performed, including the Rainstone remix on The Wonder Years: Trilogy EP & the Jason Nevins Remix. If Tell Me launched Wonder Girls to fame in S. Korea and Asia, Nobody launched them into worldwide fame. For many, Nobody was the song that introduced them to Kpop in the first place(though, for me that song was SNSD’s Gee & the first Wonder Girls song I heard was Tell Me lol).
