aspen trees + getting into gamedev!

hey! been gone a lil while. uhhh got distracted from model stuff and got into... game dev stuff! yeah i picked up unity n started making some game stuff and disappeared into coding for abt a week! its been rocky, but ive been super inspired by celeste n wanted to make something that felt like it was my voice and its been going ok! ive hit a bit of a depression so these are some reworked textures for stuff (aspen trees look so nice!) and i can share some older dev things! just a little bit, still very new to coding but ive been having a ton of fun with it!!! here's a few lil gifs i made!

the character is an old oc of mine called mercy! n the main mechanic is a little grappling hook, which i spent liek a week making my own physics system for cos it didnt work but then realized it wasnt wrking cos it was clashing with the onLY PIECE OF CODE I DIDNT WRITE MYSELF AH. that bit burnt me out quite a bit :( its still veeeeery janky, but im having a lot of fun! trying my best not to get burnt out, and making piskel art is really cool! i really gotta make more model stuff buuuuut... gamedev is really cool! i love coding (i also hate coding! >:3) this might be a bit of an ambitious project but im fine with that! im excited to see where gamedev takes me! more stuff soon (?) i hope! goodnight weird people! awoooo!!!
