Yema Cake - Took me a while to perfect the yema but I finally got it down! The cheese is pretty much the “icing” on the cake!

This special cake was made for my grandma. This is a yema cake which is a Filipino flavour. My mum and I worked together on this creation. She baked the sponge cake and made the yema filling while I made the butterceam and cake topper. We bounced ideas back and forth with how we were going to decorate it until we settled on putting the flowers on top with the topper in the middle. Of course it had to be a “bling bling” topper for Lola Pat!
