5. A piggyback ride

"Tired…" Autumn whined as she followed Saturn through the treelined pattern of Route 209. The boat ride to Sinnoh had not been kind to her, and she hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep due to her nausea.

Saturn seemed far too preoccupied with finding his way through the route to get to the city. They’d agreed to meet for a movie showing, but it was in Hearthome, and the pinkette’s feet already ached.

"Saturn…" She said, tugging at his sleeve. "Can’t we rest? I’m exhausted…"

For a moment, the galactic commander looked annoyed, but then he sighed, kneeling down to let Autumn climb on his back. She smiled, hugging him as he started again, carrying her.

"Thanks man…Next time I’ll carry…you…" Her voice trailed off as she drifted to sleep.
