weeeeeell... i tag fragmentedsummer, dylanoniall, horanking, yesniall and slutzouis
ok so like in my head a a zarrial au would go kinda like this. they are flatmates living in a sprawling metropolis. everyday niall would wake up early to attend his morning classes as he is 2nd year into his music degree in composition and sound engineering. at around 9 am harry goes to his job at a quaint bakery downtown. zayn wakes up much later, sometimes past noon because he is a starving artist being supported by his two friends, kinda, he is quite successful with serendipity artistic endeavors so he gets by.
and it seems like they live in completely different lives apart from each others but there's a quirk, a wrinkle if you will, in their platonic three way friendship. it's just that instead of an actual land line they decided it would be better to just get a plan for all 3 of them that includes another cellphone that will serves as the 'house phone' for things that are not wholly personal.
well it started one night in which niall mistaken the shared phone for his own and took it with him clubbing (they look similar ok). and the next morning when zayn was gonna answer a call from their landlord he discovered that the phone is full of pictures of niall and some girls kissing drunkenly at a club and 3 news contacts with varying degree of misspellings. and call him jealous of the fact that niall is some rockstar idol or whatever (or it was the fact that in a very HD picture some girl was shoving her tongue down his throat and zayn saw green for a couple seconds).
so the next day when zayn was out clubbing he decidedly 'forgot' his phone at a friend's place so he took the shared phone. the next night a bunch raunchy photos appeared as niall was using the shared phone to call for pizza. so like they descended into a competition/flirting of sort because they both thinks they're hot shit and they sends each other challenges. and one day when harry genuinely NEEDED to take the share phone to work with him because his own was broken, well he was in for quite a shock. at least he was a bit taken aback and weirded out, then it dissolved into jealously and dignified rage. so the only solution is to one up both of them.
so it spirals into a madness of gritty barhopping and kissing and grinding on random strangers on strange surfaces whilst taking pictures/videos with their shared phones until it all comes to ahead and they all fucked.
