It’s so scary letting people in and showing them the parts of you that aren’t made of stone
I’m worry that I’m drowning them in my emotions, because fuck I really need to vent sometimes. To let someone know outside of tumblr how I really feel.
But I worry that I’m giving too much, that I’ve painted this horribly unstable picture of myself in their eyes, and they’ll never be able to see me any differently.
I’m not a victim, I’m not crumbling, I do not need anyone to hold the pieces of myself together.
But sometimes it’s nice having a shoulder to cry on.
A poem about my "Father"
*The original one is different than this , but by time I had gone to write it down I forgot some of it but anyways :
What did you give me besides,
a life you didn't want,
What did you give me besides,
300 dollars a month,
was that supposed to make up for your absence?
What did you give me,
besides leaving my mother struggling on her own,
What did you give me,
by walking up out the door 15 years ago?
You don't deserve to be in my life no more than you did those
15 years ago,
What did you give me,
by coming back trying to fix things?
It's either you're in or you're out,
You don't get to try and be in my life when you feel like it,
F-ck it,
I don't need it ,
or YOU ,
because , What did you give me ,
but years of curiosity,
asking questions my mother could not answer,
You broke my heart ,
not once , not twice , but many a times,
But I thank God everyday,
that my Mother had the strength to put it back together again,
What did you do ,
but give me broken promises ?
