To be fair it's a quote from the book of Micah so I'll be generous and say the translator could be Jewish or Christian (although I have my suspicions), but just on principle I feel like if you're translating a folkloric/religious text you should try as best you can to keep your translation free of biases related to other folkloric/religious traditions and save any comparisons for a thesis/journal/etc.
yetanotherplayer replied to your post “today i wrote down all the infrastructure changes i wanted to make to...”
that's smart! I love getting to plan game stuff out like that. what kind of changes are u planning? work is stressful here, but I'm looking forward to weekend dnd for a nice break
yay weekend dnd! i’m doing that myself this weekend. a good diversion in these trying times.
i’ve been playing around with the river system for a while now. i have one of the island layouts where two rivers empty into the ocean on the southern coast, and i don’t love how narrow the land on the east and west coasts is as a result, so i’ve scooched them in toward the center a bit. (an aside: really wish you could change where the river mouths are, but alas.) this way i can make an oceanfront district on that east strip of the island and still give those villagers a little yard space.
i’m basically dividing my villagers into little neighborhoods--there are three up in the northwest foresty cliffs area with the campsite, there will be three (the ones i think of as divas, lol) on the oceanfront strip by the boardwalk, and there will be four in the “town” area of the island that’s connected to the airport. the northwestern neighborhood is set at this point aside from a little additional decoration, but 5 of the remaining villager houses need to move to get these districts set up, so i’m taking that day by day.
i’ve also moved my house up into the orchard because being surrounded by fruit trees sounds really neat.
yasha and/or jester, depending on what other asks u have, to round off the girls
just did jester so this ones for yasha!
do I like them: im so fucking in love with this barbarian babe
5 good qualities:
is so god damn hot
steely intimidating exterior hiding soft sweet interior
is just so gentle around the more skittish members (namely nott and caleb)
a fucking bloodthirsty badass in combat tho!!! is sick as hell!!
is experiencing so much stuff for the first time and is so adorable about it
3 bad qualities:
isnt holding me in her powerful arms right at this moment
is gone so often and i miss her
shaving people with a greatsword is sweet but dangerous!!
favourite episode/etc moments:
grass flirting with beau
bonding with nott over eating rats & collecting things
killing it at the festival like a fucking badass
“dont worry jester i’ll save us :)” *turns into a fucking hell demon*
obviously the entire caleb shave scene blessed my soul
otp: beauyasha!!!!
brotp: obligatory molly & yasha, but also i would REALLY love more yasha & nott friendship stuff!!!!
ot3: beau/yasha/jester
notp: cant think of any ships with her i mostly just see her with beau and/or jester
best quote: im gonna go classic with “these arms are worth a lot”
head canon: she is dead honest with all the buckwild shit she says. like how pretty much every time molly says some wild shit about the past you can guarantee its at least mostly a lie? yasha is exactly opposite. when beau asked how much to hold her thru the show and yasha was like “we do offer that” that is TRUE. she has absolutely shaved people in all kinds of places with her greatsword. every time she deadpans about some wild thing she used to do in the circus its 100% true
[send more for the ask meme!]
Is this because I said I think Adachi is cute
Liam sounds like he's constantly amazed and in awe of everything I do I find it hard to believe he's not a little bit in love but okay Bioware
I also wonder how much of that was EA’s influence :| My understanding is EA has gotten much more involved with the nitty-gritty of Bioware’s development, and the outcome has…not been great
On a related(?) note, something about the way game developers and players interact and communicate really needs to change. There have been a few things within the past year or two that have snowballed into PR disasters because players dogpiled on dev mistakes and companies took the exact wrong approach when responding
