What’s Eastern Mind about?

ALRIGHT--

Eastern Mind is a point & click adventure game made by Osamu Sato (the same guy that made LSD Dream Emulator, Roly Poly no Nanakorobi Yaoki, & so on) in 1995, Japan.

Basically the game is about a man named Rin who lost his soul to Tong Nou, a living island that looks like a giant green head. So, he borrowed his friend's temporary soul (Yashiro) and set sail to the island. In order to regain his soul back, he has to die & reincarnate 9 times.

That's what it's mostly about lol.

How do the crystals work?

the crystals work by ‘manipulating/distorting/transforming’ the victim’s body cells. The crystals feeds on strong negative emotions like anger, fear, and sadness. So, when the victim got hit, the crystal’s radiation effected their body cells and traveled to the victim’s head for the emotions and generates pain so the victim will feel hurt and scared. Which makes it worse.

However, if the victim accepted their fate, calm, and emotionally and physically strong, the transformation will slow down. They will still get corrupted, but not as worst as the ones who get overwhelmed.

Nickel: corrosive acid spit, speed running, and able to almost curl up like a ball to roll.

Suitcase: strong 'jaws' for snapping you in half, able to breath water, and double tongue hands to strangle you.

Balloon: strangle you to death, high pitch screech, and floating/flying.

Knife: corrosive acid spit, acid bite, and acid sting.

Trophy: flying, sharp pointy tails, and golden breath (basically medusa but it turns you to gold via breath).

Soap: toxic soap bubbles, supervision eyes (able to see tiny things with ease) and flying.

Microphone: sonic screeches and be able to communicate by normal speech and 'monster speech'

Cheesy: sticky cheese silk, super spider leap, and spider abilities.

Box: poisonous skin.

Lightbulb: electric paralysing sting, speed flying.

Paintbrush: purple fire breath, flying, and sharp claws.

Fan: keen eyes, fast running, flying and shape-shifting (with one condition, his face stayed the same).

Test Tube: super glowing corrosive acid spit and strangle you tight.

Marshmallow:

flying, possession/ghostly abilities, and creating hallucinations.

Apple: flying and camouflage.

Yin Yang: flying and hidden mouth.

Cherries: super leap, painful bite, and can extend their body.

Tissues: sticky snot and extra hand.

Baxter: snap.

Egg: t e n t a c l e s.

Taco: hypnosis and invisibility.

OJ: sticky liquid (liquid will stick onto you and it smells. This makes OJ able to detect you easily).

Pickle: strangle you and kinda stretchy.

Salt: super sensitive hearing, keen eyes, and able to latch on others easily (sharp teeth!).

Bomb: explode and flying (his feathers aee covered in gun powder. If you lit the feather, it explodes, and you die).
