My life

I write I delete Letters scatter across the page Like dry leaves in the wind And I forget what I tried to say

I look I see A bird dancing in the sunlight And suddenly the world hums

I breathe I release it The air leaving like a wanderer And I feel weight sliding off my shoulders

I eat I swallow Slowly merging And feel how the food becomes me

I speak I listen Words flowing like small stones And I taste the sweetness of their landing

I pause I feel Everything I touched, tasted, and breathed Settling into me And for a moment I am exactly here
