Need a little break from all the election tension this week? 😳 Tune into @arundhati_baitmangalkar’s podcast featuring yours truly 💁🏽♂️ as we discuss the purpose of props, and other yoga talk. Direct link in my bio 🔗 Posted @withregram • @arundhati_baitmangalkar Let me tell you a story😇… When I first started yoga, I thought doing a pose ‘well’ meant that you should use no props🤷🏻♀️. And somehow had the mindset that props were a sign of weakness or inability in the practice. Looking back it might have been because I was introduced to yoga with power vinyasa. While I no longer practice Iyengar yoga, I remember the first day I attended a class. I thought it would be easiest thing to just lie on props and use them in all poses. I still remember I finished that class, and crashed at 8pm because I had worked every-single-part of me without even realizing. It was only later as I explored more ways of practicing asana that I discovered the wealth of knowledge that props can provide to the student & the teacher. My guest today, is somewhat an expert when it comes to playing with props. Zain Syed is a POC yoga teacher who gives the purpose of props a new definition. While he’s internationally known for his teaching & sequences, I sat down with him to explore the purpose of props, vinyasa & prop based practice, can props be a crutch to growth & more… Podcast episode available anywhere you stream podcasts or just head to the link in my bio for the latest episode:) #yogapodcast #yoagprops #yogizain #letstalkyogapodcast #canva #yogateachers #indianyogateacher #pocyogateacher #maleyogateachers #iyengaryoga https://www.instagram.com/p/CHM2axhpa-w/?igshid=1x2kgda8jescv
