Yesterday, after teaching 3 sweaty classes, I showered (duh), put on dress clothes and makeup, and made my way to DTLA for the @bizbabez networking event. Rarely do I do anything high energy after teaching that much, because I frankly don't have much energy left. My default is to go home, shower, eat, kiss my husband and dogs, and promptly fall asleep. So, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, from myself or the event. Networking events can either be full of energy and high potential, or as flat and tasteless as stale champagne. I am happy to report this was the former. I came away awakened, heartened, and inspired by these millennial women and their vision, drive, vulnerability, and struggles to succeed. Even more amazing, I actually did have some energy left to contribute! Thank you, @kaseydreier for the invite. I was honored that you felt I had something to contribute, and I received a great deal!
