what if the reason why victor always forgets stuff is because he hit himself in the head when he was a baby or child
because when he was a baby his parents didn't care enough about him to pay attention to him so he would try to crawl or walk over to them to get their attention and one day he fell and none of them bothered to do anything about it because there was nothing obviously wrong
or when he started skating he would always fall over and hit his head but kept on practising because he thought skating was wonderful and he hoped that his parents would come watch him if he was good enough
and even though when he grew up he didn't end up hitting his head anymore he'd still practise everyday with the hope that his parents would one day see him and say that they were proud of him
and maybe that's why he always tries to surprise the audience because he might get famous enough for his parents to notice
but of course they never did

A new fic I've started in which Viktor makes his return to skating. please check it out!
a small imagine if yuri and viktor did break up on the day before the final day of the competition ; unedited
note: wrote this a while back, still don't know what to feel about it :")
"alright yuri, if that’s what you want. let's end this."
yuri's head snapped up as his eyes bore into Viktor’s face, resisting the urge to delicately pick up a teardrop on his cold, slender fingers.
"what...?"
his voice broke, though yuri had fervently told himself that he should not while pep talking himself prior to the talk.
those silver orbs, coated with a slick layer of tears, wasn't looking at yuri. instead, his gaze was kept locked firmly onto yuri's right hand.
yuri noticed it. heck, he noticed every small thing that viktor would do.
yuri did not know how to continue as the tension only seemed to grow thicker and thicker. his eyes scanned over viktor’s somewhat large frame and he felt his heart chip as viktor’s shoulders shook vigorously.
unable to control himself any further, his lanky finger slowly tilted his head upwards, locking their gaze together tightly. there's no trace of the lighthearted viktor that yuri knewbest, and yuri felt his heart sink, even more than it did when he had broken the news.
perhaps, viktor knew how yuri really felt. because his eyes crinkled, before it spilled over with more tears as he whispered, trying hard to keep a smile on his face.
“hm, yuri? why the long face now?” yuri’s breathing hitched as the man he once loved, and still did, provocatively brought his face closer, and closer, and closer. the finger that was once supporting viktor’s chin helplessly returned back to his sides as yuri desperately tried to remain eye contact.
“perhaps... are you... lying?”
yuri's gaze shifted to the glass in the hotel room despite himself, revealing the starry, starry night in its full glory. the people in the streets seemed so small, so happy, a stark contrast to what's going on in the hotel room then.
a shaky sigh slipped past yuri's lips, as he tried to shake off the negative thoughts he was having, before briefly thinking about the dinner he had with yurio and the others, where they were so ever euphoric, despite the dim atmosphere. yet the bright lights in the hotel only brought out bitter feelings instead.
he pursed his lips desperately, a futile attempt to prevent himself from tearing up. viktor let out a small sigh, one that yuri despised hearing; he sounds so... exasperated, it hurt.
as he struggled to meet viktor’s pointed gaze, viktor backed away from yuri, as if the feeling of his warm breath on his face was an illusion. cold eyes bore into yuri's confused ones, both of them unable to speak.
awkward silence.
viktor was there, deep in thought, eyes fixated on the floor, fists balled up in a gentle grasp. yuri couldn’t take his eyes of viktor's lonely-looking slender figure and unknowingly, tears glazed over his now wide eyes as he frantically dabbed on his eyes with his sleeve.
the grey-haired man’s face crunched up all of a sudden as he stood up and promptly walked out of the room, the door clicking shut behind him as he left.
yuri was there, left on the bed, legs dangling off the ground, and was in utter shock from that ordeal.
he glanced at where viktor once was, and when he did, his hand flew to cover his mouth as he fervently pressed himself against the wooden headboard before finally letting out a loud sob.
the ring that was once on his ring finger was now left there, glinting brightly under the blinding lights and never to be worn by him again.

Looking for extra writers!
I'm having some trouble right now and I need a bit of help in the making of my fanfiction Yuuri Katsuki is Dead. So if you like Yuri on ice and angst and like to write just give me a message!
MUAHAHAHHAHAHAHA I HAVE COME TO MAKE YOU SUFFER WHY YOU ASK BECAUSE I WILL MAKE YOU CHOOSE BETWEEN THREE EQUALLY HORRIFIC AND BEAUTIFULLY CHALLENGING HEADCANONS WHICH YOU ARE EITHER GOING TO LOVE OR HATE -OLD VIKTUURI AND ONE OF THEM IS IN THEIR DEATH BED AND THEY FLASHBACK - VIKTOR HAVING AN ACCIDENT AND BEING TAKEN OFF THE ICE FOREVER - I W A N T T H E D E A T H O F T H E D O G Btw Sof, I love you. I don't even think I'm ready to read what you'll write; I just love the way you do it <3
OK FIRST OF ALL HOW DARE YOU?? Secondly: I don’t know who I hate the most, you for requesting this, or me for actually choosing the worst option.
“I’m reallysorry, Mr. Katsuki”
The wordsdidn’t sound as painful as he had thought they would be. In fact, they had no effect. They felt empty, numb, like an emotional placebo.
He knew itwould happen eventually, he had prepared himself for it for the last fewmonths. The impact of the news couldn’t compare to the shock and the dread offinding out he was sick. Those had been the real bad news. That had been theday, that his happy ever after was given an expiration date.
“It’s ok, Iunderstand”
He walkedinto the room slowly, ignoring the kind offers of the nurse asking if he neededanything, and followed what had been his ritual for the past three months. Hehanged his coat on the wooden chair’s backrest, and used the support of hiswalking stick to help him sit down, facing the man that was lying on top of thebed, white, so white, that Yuuri almost lost him within the hospital bedsheets. He licked his creased lips, he hadn’t realized he was trembling until hereached for his husband’s hand and saw himself shaking. It was then or never;he knew the sedatives wouldn’t take long to kick in and, once he fell asleep,he wouldn’t wake up again.
“Vitya?”
He strokedthe back of his hand, and the man opened his eyes lazily, blinking a few times. There was that spark of icy blue, the contrast of color against all thewhiteness. His eyes were the only thing that were still the same, that hadn’tfall pray of the effects of old age, and popped out young and beautiful fromthe wrinkly skin of his face. Yuuri couldn’t stop staring at them, couldn’tstop himself from praising what was still left, what had felt so inflexible andfamiliar for almost sixty years of marriage. He saw him smile, new foldsdrawing on his cheeks and the corner of his mouth, and felt his fingersresponding to the touch.
“Hello,love”
Usually, then would come the “how are you doing?” question, but that day he didn’t feellike asking it. He didn’t want to hear the answer. He kept looking at him, having so much to say and yet nothing at all. Love and grief kept cancellingeach other inside his mouth and in the end he couldn’t speak, just stare, andhold his hand in his.
So, unableto find a proper replacement for his routine, which he knew would become evenharder after that day, he waited in silence until it was Viktor who spokeagain.
“You reallyare beautiful, you know?” He said, voice groggy and tired, and Yuuri couldn’teven fake a snort. Instead, he sighed, and caressed up his bony arm.
“Don’t saystupid things. We are old”
“But youare” He insisted, smiling that silly heart-shaped smile of his that was soridiculously contagious “You will always be beautiful in my eyes”
“I’m allwrinkly”
“Just like atasty raisin” He joked.
“I’moverweight”
“You know Ialways liked your squishy belly”
“My hair isgrey”
“Hey, wematch!” He coughed a chuckle “Hasn’t mine always been?”
Yuuri grinned, tracing his fingers on the familiar silver locks, now so much thinner and whiter, but still soft and absurdly soothing. He couldn’t help but remember just howconcerned his husband had been all his life about his growing hairline. Andnow, even though scarce and shorter, he still had hair on top of his head.
He unconsciouslyplayed with his ring, kind of big for his now scrawny fingers, only staying inplace because of the way the wrinkled flesh had molded to it after so manyyears. If he moved it a bit, he could see even paler skin beneath. A permanentprint, eternal, drawn on him forever.
“I love you”He said, although he knew it meant nothing. It never meant anything. He alreadyknew he loved him, in fact, he knew that phrase couldn’t even cover hisadoration in the slightest. But there was something musical in it, poetic. Itwasn’t the meaning what brought them close whenever he said it, but maybe theintention, the drive, the need. He needed to tell him he loved him. It wasn’t adeclaration, they had got over confessions way too long ago already. It wasmore like a symbol, a piece of art, something pretty and enchanting to rejoicein. And that’s exactly why he felt like saying it right then “I love you, somuch”
“I love youtoo, solnyshko” Viktor closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, and Yuuri couldsee him grimace with effort “I really want to kiss you, but I don’t think I canmove right now”
“You canalways ask” He hadn’t meant his voice to sound like a sob, but it did. And ashe leaned in to kiss his lips, softly, lovingly, without paying attention tohis sore back, he feared he may start crying. He didn’t.
“Don’t giveme that face…I’m ok, Yuuri”
“No you arenot”
“I am, I amhappy” He said, closing his eyes, feeling the soft touch of his husband’s handas it cupped his cheek “You made me a happy man, love. You gave me a good life”
“Viktor…”Yuuri tried to speak, but his voice cracked and the sentence broke.
“It wasalways you…” He whispered, his lips felt heavy, and so did his lids “Remember thecup of China, when I was twenty-seven and you were twenty-three?”
“Of course” He nodded “Our first kiss”
“And the wedding? Remember how Yurio got drunk?”
They both laughed softly, ironically, clenching theirtangled hands.
“I could never forget that. I remember everything, everysecond I lived by your side” He stroked his cheek “The honeymoon, thecompetitions, adopting Lori…and then, even after we retired, everything we didtogether”
“Our trip to Paris…”
“That was wonderful”
“You see? How could I not be happy?” Yuuri still couldn’tget it, he couldn’t understand why the weary grin on his lips was genuine. Itwas ludicrous. “It’s all thanks to you. And you know why?” his husband asked, smiling cheekily and turning to kiss the palm of his hand “Because youtaught me the meaning of Life and Love”
“Hmm?” He sucked his lips inwards, seeing how theother’s breath got slower and slower with every passing second and how his eyeslost focus “And what’s the meaning?”
“Life may not be eternal…” He closed his lids, giving his hand one soft, shaky squeeze “But Love is”
In that moment, Yuuri saw his face falling gently to rest onthe side of the pillow and the grip on his fingers ceased. Every muscle relaxedand his lips, cold and pale, blew against his palm a deep, warm breath. Thelast one.
Only then, Yuuri allowed himself to cry.
Two weeks later, he was admitted into hospital. Lori hadinsisted he moved in with her, but he couldn’t even consider it before he fellsick. Medics couldn’t do more but prologue the inevitable, and after the long courseof a month, Yuuri Katsuki closed his eyes for good. He passed away some windy Decemberevening, in the company of his loving daughter, and washed over by a feeling ofunexplainable peace. And right before, when reality got foggy and melted intothe memories of his husband, his voice, calling for him…he finally understood. And he felt happy, too.
I hate myself
