I’m making some publicity to Italian artists, we have a lot of good graphic novels here, and lots of awesome authors.

It’s an autobiographic graphic novel of self discovery, where 15 year old P. feels like he doesn’t belong in his body and after a tormented journey realises he wants to be a girl.

Extremely intense, very well written, simple and straightfoward drawings that get directly to the heart.

I struggled a lot with this one, the drawings are so simple yet so powerful that I felt guilty “ruining” them with my pencil and snooping around in a very personal and intimate story.

Yole, free-spirited witch

Turns out I have a habit of placing Yole on higher ground if I have a background in the drawing. I mean she ends up above ground, enjoying light breeze, more often than not. Though in more recent pictures she seems more reserved, holding her hands behind her back. did she became a bit more mature?

while unintentional, I think it can say something about her character. or about me. who knows

Mara and Yole! Two protagonists of my story. Mara is an ex-demon-hunter and Yole is a self-proclaimed witch. The name of their world is "Convallaria" (Lily of the valley didn't sound like a proper world name so I used the Latin one. Fun fact, I've chosen this name because of the flower language since it was quite fitting for the "true purpose" of the creation of this world. This fact does not contribute anything to the actual storyline, but it's a neat worldbuilding detail I think)

one day I hope I will be able to mare a comic with them, but for now pretty pictures are enough

Their story is about interpersonal relationships and personal growth. And beautiful landscapes once I learn how to draw them
