Jasper’s head was still spinning from it all—but in the best way possible. It had only been a few months since he found out he could shapeshift, and before that, life had been simple: steal shiny things, nap in warm spots, avoid hawks. But now? He was living it up as a human. And somehow—don’t ask him how—he’d even ended up with a partner, a charming, mysterious one, who made his heart race in the same way that a penny once did that he found in the grass. Yooha was someone Jasper could spend his days with instead of wandering around clueless about what humans did for fun. And Yooha was fun.
“Boil for twelve minutes…” Jasper read off the package before dumping the lasagna sheets into the pot—along with the minced meat and tomato paste. Now, it would’ve been much easier if he actually knew how to read time, but that was the least of his worries. All he wanted was to do something nice for Yooha, and he’d read somewhere that a home-cooked meal was the perfect treat after a long, hard day at work. "Good." Rather proud of himself, Jasper popped the lid onto the pot, dusted off his hands, then froze when he heard the twist of the lock and doors opening. The sun was still up, and Yooha was already home? strange. But even then, when the food was not quite ready yet to taste, Jasper bounced out of the kitchen to greet the male, bright smile on his face and a flower-print apron snug around his waist."
"Surprise! oh-" blinking a few times, Jasper's head tipped as he scanned the red stains on the male's clothes. Odd, did a can of tomato paste explode on him or something...?
