We should've gotten a proper backstory of the Ansan Public before Hudson was redebuted in inducted into Allied boy group crew.
Whose idea was it for Public to earn money like that? How did their business strategy begin? Why did a goody goody kid like Hudson (Hyunseong) mingle with a bully like Channing (Changwon) and a snob like Jacky (Jaehee)? Was their crew purely based on business expansion (which amazes me even though I keep finding this type of alliance in action webtoons), then?
Imho one of the reasons why it's hard for many readers to engage with the latter arcs is this lack of backstories, and the right timing to introduce these amidst the action scenes. The success of Jake (Gimyung)'s and Samuel (Seongeun)'s backstory chapters relies on the timing. Somehow in-between the fightings, the backstories worked.
And it's such a missed opportunity not to focus on why Channing chose a tattoo pen to inflict wounds on other people, because the stigma on tattoos and scars is one of the facets of lookism.
