Modern AU Westeros is a nedbert AU where Ned and Robert raise little babies Gendry and Jon together in the countryside and every the rest of the Stark babies are all Cat and Brandon’s kids who live in the North. Ned and Robert own a farm and Jon is only 4 when he’s visiting the other Stark children and they find a litter of direwolf puppies. Gendry didn’t want one because he’s already got a kitten for Christmas, Jon gets the albino one. Eventually, Jon goes North to live with Benjen and Yoren when he’s a college student to work on the Northern preserve to study the animals in the land that’s pretty much winter 100% of the time, where he makes friends with the Free Folk, a village in the North So old fashioned that they’re pretty much a closed community and he’s there to help them upgrade their greenhouses and help shore up their homes for the winter seasons. He meets Tormund, one of the local wood workers with two daughters, who helps him with building projects and they flirt and it’s gay. His bff is Ygritte, since gays gotta stick together. Wargs probably still exist even in a modern AU cause why the fuck not, Jon and Ghost are very close. Tormund won’t stop flirting with him and Jon likes it. Tormund’s daughters are so adorable he loves them so much. Mance is in charge of the exchange program Jon’s in and thinks he’s a good lad who does fine work helping out. Everyone is happy.
