I was about to bring up the Birthplace scene and that the Hollow Knight probably wasn’t ever hollow, but thankfully you already mentioned that in your note at the end. Wholeheartedly agree with your post, the Pale King supposedly cared about the Hollow Knight, but he likely still treated them more as a tool than a child. It is also implied that the Pale King knew that the Hollow Knight would fail (as he had some ability to see the future), which makes it even worse.

okay so one thing that bugs me is when people who hate gamzee wish he could die. like?????? pals chums buddies amigos do you NOT GET that this is the ULTIMATE punishment for him. this means that NO version of gamzee EVER gets to be happy in dreambubbles. hes doomed in all the timelines to watch his friends die. those gamzees who stayed silly and sweet the entire time? yeah, guess who never gets happiness in dreambubbles? this has been a PSA of something i think about a lot

I know right? People always hate him for the stuff he did, which shouldn’t be the only defining part of his character! Pretty much every being in Homestuck did morally ambiguous/wrong things, but Gamzee is the only one that is harshly judged for them. And he is more than those actions! He was a funny guy who loved his friends and wanted the best for them, he just chilled and hung out and didn’t pay much attention to the Hemospectrum at all.

Let Gamzee be happy for goodness sake.
