               Sean did not anticipate waking up in TJ’s bed while in the DC area again. Not expecting his ex-boyfriend to want to take him back even when hearing from his own lips that he and Nikki officially filed for divorce. That’s not the reason why he chose to tell him. TJ just so happened to be the first person he wanted to tell. Besides his parents. But here he is under the familiar sheets with the man that will always hold a part of his heart.

                TJ’s comment earns a little chuckle from the blond, his gaze never retreating fully from TJ. ❝You know I would if I could.❞ Especially now. If only Sean could just call in sick to work and call it good. A hand remains resting over TJ, holding him close to his body. ❝But I don’t have to be up and out of bed for another thirty minutes.❞ He’ll let TJ take that statement however he pleases as he leans over, pressing a kiss to his lips.

“You don’t have to worry,” TJ chuckled and crawled over onto Castiel’s lap, forgetting until that moment that he was still naked. Though the memories flooding in from the night before put a smile on his face and leaned down to kiss the older man. “The shift change isn’t until midday.” He pointed out, his arms resting on either side of Castiel’s head.

Castiel woke up with a gasp of fear, thinking he was late to his shift but TJ was right beside him and his voice soothed him. That was until he felt TJ crawl onto his lap, still naked from last night. His hands immediately went to those sinful hips and gripped them tightly, to convince himself that this wasn’t a dream. The kiss was sweet and soft, looking up as he reassured him. “Then we have a good while before I have to go...” TJ was absolutely gorgeous with hair going in all kinds of directions and those eyes staring down at him. “Last night was amazing.”

a lazy smirk presented itself on tony’s lips as he lowered his hand back down pleased he’d finally got tj’s attention. “not at all, i just wanted to see if i could distracted you. but please, continue so i can keep poking you.”

                 “ listen, i know i should probably spend the little money i have on something more valuable, but... drinking takes the edge off. and it kinda makes me forget about all my financial hardship. so, on the bright side, at least i’m suffering in a fun way. ”

              Sean shakes his head upon hearing the apology. ❝You’re fine. You don’t have to apologize.❞ His voice gives off a sense of reassurance. It’s never a good thing to keep one’s emotions bottled up for an extended period of time. So he’s more than happy to listen, especially to TJ.

              ❝They should’ve been there for you. They should’ve supported you. They’re your family.❞ With the grand opening of the Dome. Everything. ❝But so should have I.❞ Things have changed since the opening of the Dome. However, it still doesn’t change the fact that Sean broke his promise and did not come in attendance to the big event. This is one of the many things they’ve failed to discuss. Merely putting off the inevitable. ❝And I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you needed me to be.❞ A regret the congressman will carry with him to his grave.

morning after

              The realization of Sean’s actions from last night did not fully sink in until the morning after. Lying awake in TJ’s bed, arms crossed in front of his chest as he stares up at the ceiling. Contemplating over whether or not he should walk out before the other wakes up from his slumber. Except his thoughts are short lived upon hearing his comment, causing for the blond to turn his head to the side in response. No matter what is running through his mind he can’t help the small smile that forms as a result.

              He shouldn’t be here – in this position – for a multitude of reasons. Even if last night was incredible. He’s married with two beautiful kids he’d die for. Then there’s his job and parents. The two would likely disown him if they found out he slept with a man. There’s a reason he married Nikki at such a young age. To make his parents happy. To have a family like they wanted. All the while his thoughts and gazes were typically elsewhere. Not that he acted on them. Not until now, anyway.

              ❝I, uh…❞ What does he say in response to all of this? ❝I had a good time, but I really should be leaving.❞

               Mike should’ve seen it coming. Sitting in TJ’s apartment while listening to the music playing over the speakers of TJ’s phone until a certain song starts. It’s hard to say if the host said anything before he feels himself being pulled up onto his feet. Even if he didn’t, he doesn’t need to say anything for Mike to know exactly what the Hammond son is referring to. Earning a soft laugh from the agent as he follows him into the living room. ❝I have to warn you, I have two left feet.❞ It has just been a long while since he’s danced with anyone.
