OH MAN OKAY I’M FINALLY READY I THINK. She’s still a work in progress and it depends on the campaign I’m running her in!But she grew up with a band of criminals, whether stolen or found or what she doesn’t know, she was too young and they’re not one to necessarily tell the truth, but she picked up on skills fast (higher int and dex), so they taught her how to open locks and check for traps and have her sneak into the small spaces because she is a small human girl and it’s pretty not moral but she’s a child and that’s her family so she’s excited about it

And she goes about this for years until a job goes wrong, they missed a trap that locks them in a room and she gets pushed out through a small window to try and get around and unlock it from the outside, but by the time she’s able to, the guards have come and the gang’s been subdued

So she goes to sneak into the prison/guardhouse/whatever by herself to break them out, but when she gets to a point, she sees her father figure, and the guard captain (or whoever the hell does this stuff), goes to execute him and this parts still up in the air but either she’s too late and he gets GOT, or she goes to shoot the executioner, but is shaking and missing and only grazes him and he finishes the job and the father figure thief man dies and they notice her and chase after her so she runs

And she runs

and she gets away and runs as far away as she can and ends up towns over after a few days and assumes that everyone else has also died and who else could she ask for help? Her family was criminals

so she sets out to figure out what to do next, does odd jobs for money, depending on other characters, maybe teams up with someone else in the party and latches on to them, because she knows she works better with other people but doesn’t know how to talk to non-shitty thief types but she tries

Her goals are to:

(Secretly) become part of a new found family

Read every book she can find and steal

Write a book

Find out if anyone from her old family is still alive

Also she has a deep seated revenge quest for the guy who killed her dad dude but maybe doesn’t know about that until she sees him again

THAT’S ALL I GOT FOR NOW

Her name is Xiphos (Zai-fus), and I think she goes by leaf because “She’s light as a leaf”

Are they good?? I've never played a Spyro game and I've been really really tempted to get the remake I mean obviously they must be pretty good if you 100%'d all of them but would you recommend them to someone who's never played them?                    

That’s always hard! I think they’re good, solid games. They’re very definitely still PS1 platformers and the first one is fairly simple at that. They still have quite a bit of that ps1 jank, especially as you get to the minigames in the second and third game.

But all of the core game stuff feels good. If you like old 3D platformers I think it’d be worth it.

The story is also pretty whatever! I mean they’re ps1 platformers and they keep true to that! But the remake looks fantastic and it’s all really cute.
