He would never let her see John again. “Remind me again why i like you? Besides the accent and the good looks. I have plenty of boys around me who fit both categories.” Despite being annoyed she couldn’t help but feel a thrill at the idea of taking the lighter. She might not smoke but it was still a gorgeous piece of artwork.

“You deserve a lot worse.” Her hand hurt but she still wanted to slap him again. The pain was nothing compared to what she was feeling. Laurel had her heart broken before but it had never felt like this. She had stopped dating because of how bad her last relationship went and swore she would never be that stupid again. It looked like she had been. “Good because having sex with me for money would be prostitution. So what  you date me for the money and sleep with me for fun? So nice to know that I meant anything to you.”

He was everything her father had warned her about and that was probably part of the reason she was remotely attracted to him. She might have a reputation as the good girl but she still had the problem of being attracted to everything or well everyone that was bad for her. And there was no one more bad for her than John Constantine. “This is a date, right? You’re not trying to get me to do your homework or anything?”

Laurel couldn't remember when John had ever made her this upset. Her father had warned her from the moment he had found out about him that it would only end in heartbreak, but she hadn't expected this. It was Valentine's day, they were supposed to be cute and romantic. Instead she was crying on her bed, hugging the teddy bear her father had gotten her and cursing the name John Constantine in her head.

It wasn't until she heard the familiar slide of her window did she lift her head up from where it was buried in the bear. "I should have locked the window. Nailed it shut maybe." Laurel wiped ferociously as she glanced over at him. "What do you want Constantine?"

“I think you might have enjoyed it a bit more seeing as how you kept kissing it off of my lips.” She moved closer to him and smiled. “But if you don’t really remember I think I might have to remind you. I still have the tube.”

Laurel should have never let her boys talk her into a horror movie night. Especially not when it involved it movies about teenagers who died in their sleep and one of them looked a little to much like her for comfort. After the first night of nightmares she hadn’t even slept the second or third, except for cat naps. It didn’t help that Constantine hadn’t been there because she had spent the weekend with Tommy and Oliver and the Queen family.

Laying her head on her boyfriends shoulder she sighed. “I am never watching another horror movie again or sleeping. You’re not allowed to let me fall asleep because if you die in your dreams you die in real life.”

Laurel walked over to him her hand laying on her stomach as she felt their baby moving around. It didn’t matter what anybody else thought she was happy for this. “Here,” She grabbed his hand and placed it where she felt the last kick. “I think he or she is going to be a soccer player. Or dancer.”
