Rufus as achild was pretty normal. Though since he grew up with only private tutors thewhole social behavior that children learn at a young age was never reallyground into him. He didn’t feel the need to branch out towards other people (strangersincluded) and established his cold demeanor towards people.

But he waswarm to the people that were prominent in his life, those who were a firmplaceholder in the regular routine. Children depend on a routine, they learnthe foundations of trust and dependability with it—for Ru it was his mother andguardians.

Rufus had a favorite toy.

Junon wasknown for the automatons and he was the first in the store when they were delivered new handmade toys.

“My favorite was awell-dressed gentleman whom played a piano piece when you wound him up. Hewould lift his hat, perform a bow, and place his fingers perfectly on theinstrument. The music box inside would chime away as his fingers swept alongthe keys of brass.”

Vitamins.

He took them but they weren’t shaped in anything fun. Butthey tasted good, especially the Vitamin C. Otherwise he was fairly healthychild, it was only in his adult life that he realized the imperfections heheld.

Bedtime stories.

His mother told him many tales that he still remembers fromthis day. He doesn’t share many, but did with his guardians ( and even Yuffiein one verse ). Later on in life he gave them to those that requested and it isan endearing action to do so. The Flower and the Nightingale continues to behis favorite and his mother always gave him a kiss goodnight.

Best Friend

Depending on the verses I do, he does hold a relationshipwith Yuffie for being a friend but later in his teen years he burns that bridge( with the war and his betrayal on his father ). Otherwise he had no friendsother than his guardians. That goes for Dark Nation as well.

Most importantly.

Of course Rufus has a booty.. a very toned one at that.
