Being on the internet rn during the Pitt lovefest as a Young Dracula fan since childhood is WILD.
Why am I seeing thousands of American white girls call Gerran breedable? WOOF.
You cannot give a man a punk looking jacket like this and an outfit like this and expect that he wouldn't be a punk.
Personally if I wrote his character I would make him a punk and I'd make him cause more trouble with that police officer in S4 EP1. Would've made him argue more about going to revamp and when he does have to attend it he just argues with the Bertrand and avoids the lessons as much as he can. Telling him oh that he can't teach him anything and he won't change his way. I wish he was more stubborn instead of actually following the rules of the ceasefire. I also would've made him hate the VHC instead of actually following their rules as well. I mean yeah half the things I've said would've probably have made him more of a hated character but that's literally what I love about him.
Okay im done ranting and posting pictures of him.
I know the Young Dracula fandom is literally non-existent/dead but I just re-watched the episode where Dracula goes to parents evening because Van Helsing insulted his chess skills and can the two people still in the fandom just appreciate that Robin wrote a fanfiction called ‛Harry Vampire and the Goblet of Bats‛. He is canonically the YD universe‛s equivalent of Tara Gilesbie.
WHUMPTOBER DAY 1
a little out of the ordinary
Whumpee: Vlad Dracula
Young Dracula 5x10
I wish young dracula had a bigger fandom on tumblr
Young Dracula ~ Vladimir Dracula
A more coherent take on Vlad’s vegetarianism in s5 after speaking about it with someone:P
At the end of S4 and into S5, we know that the slayer peace treaty is fragile, Malik and Erin have left, Vlad’s life has just been flipped. We also see that Vlad’s relationship to blood in S4 changes as he gives into cravings. Him going travelling and running away from his problems (in true Dracula fashion) is a very natural progression here.
So now he’s in Tibet, learning to be vegetarian and probably smoking weed, let’s be real. Coming off the blood is suddenly quite easy and so is becoming a vegetarian. This should have been hard. We know where Vlad’s relationship with blood has been going, as well as where Ivan’s relationship with blood went (for context). Vlad’s acting all superior about his ability to resist blood’s temptation, where in reality, I think its actually the first signs of his vampire side beginning to diminish.
Vlad being a vegetarian in S5 makes perfect sense. Because of his humanity, he isn’t craving blood. It’s easy for him, but he doesn’t know that yet so he’s getting an ego boost off it.
HOWEVER, after his 18th birthday, I think Vlad would stop being a vegetarian pretty quickly as his vampirism comes back. If not by choice then out of necessity. He would be exhausted from going even a day without some form of meat. I think he would also come off soy blood eventually, but with much more back and forth struggle.
