she took what she could get
you gave so little that so little felt like so much and i’ve made a living of making so little feel like enough

muscle memory
don’t know why I keep checking as if anything will change as if your name and number will have my whole life rearranged I’ll fit you in my future pluck you from my past and hold you in my present hoping this time it will last
This Is Not A Poem
I told myself I would say goodbye with grace That when the time came I would let love go But even the best intentioned parts of me Could not have known how hard Letting go would be When I had already dreamt up future plans The problem with this Is that I did not see it coming And you did nothing to show it I felt my future get ripped out from under my feet And forgot how to stand on my own already I haven’t left my bed since that night And I know this is not who I am But I’ve lost any semblance of fight left in me I am whole But I am half empty.
