👋🏽Hi! 🤍💙💜❤️
This morning I ventured out to the grocery store after my school drop offs. I went to grab breakfast items in an effort to prevent my self from having green beans another morning.🙃! My cashier was such a bright spirit 🥰. After we exchange "how do you dos", she recalled that she didn't get much sleep last night. We began talking a bit when the gentlemen behind me, who seemed to know her, could not wait patiently for his turn to converse with her. Breaking in he asked her how she was and where she is staying. She responded that she is at a hotel because her house had been destroyed in a fire. Recently. My eyes widened as I asked her if that was why she was losing sleep. She smiled and said "No, I was up doing laundry. 🥹 I am still pressing!." After blessing each others day after a few Amens I left feeling very encouraged by her! And my thoughts regarding her...(She is in the eye of the storm!)
🎺 While moving in with it's intimidating winds, heavy rains and thunder clashes, the eye of the storm is the calmest, with no wind at the center and typically clear skies. In stages of the severity the eye is 15% less on impact, than what's going on around it. When I think of this spiritually I am reminded of the 3 Hebrew boys refusal to submit to conflicting customs, gods, and ceremonies that directly opposes their own. They refused to accept what was going on around them. They refused to internalize the external threat to their peace, their comfort, their help, their strength, their hope, their love, their joy, their identity, their truth, their God. Threatened by the furnace hot with flames, they kept their vision, their eye, on the true living God! Thrown into the furnace, they kept their eye, vision, on the true living God! Though the flames sought out around them they were in the Vision of the supernatural saving Grace of God!
This is all to say that there are things happening around you! In your mind, in your house, in the world! Though the proximity may be close know that God is with you. Like The winds he calmed for the Diciples on the boat, God has you in the eye as well! Without submission of your peace, comfort, help, strength, hope, love, joy, identity truth in God, Keep your faith and trust in Him! It is in His strength that you are able to do and suffer all things regardless of what troubles swarm around you.
